"Ehvie Clark?"
The blonde looked up from the 2010 issue of vogue she'd been going through, arching her eyebrow before speaking. "Yeah, who's asking?" The buff man stared her down, never breaking the serious look on his face. "Preston, I'm here to pick you up." Ehvie set the magazine back on the wobbly table before standing up. "About time, I've been waiting for over an hour."
The man didn't bother answering, he grabbed her suitcase and led her out the airport quickly. The tall blonde followed him, her shoes making a clacking sound on the cold floor and echoing around them. People were looking at her. Whether it was because of her short navy blue and white dress or simply based on the fact that she was accompanied by what looked like a body guard, Ehvie loved it. She'd always loved being the center of attention and that was part of why she had taken the job in the first place.
The blonde ran her hand into her hair, keeping up with the man's fast pace. She still wasn't exactly sure what the whole job was about, but she knew she would be in the public eye. Something about cleaning up a reputation, they had told her. This would be great for her own career too. Ehvie was a Californian model, she had a good established career but what she wanted was fame. When they reached the car, Preston opened the door for her. What a gentleman, she thought to herself before sliding into the back of the car. The door closed and she watched as he walked all around the car to get into the front seat. Ehvie couldn't help but giggle as Preston sat into the tiny seat. His shoulders were broader than it and his legs looked like they could use a lot more space. It was a funny sight. Once he was buckled, the driver engaged onto the street and Preston's voice filled the tiny car.
"You'll be taken to the hotel where you will meet the management team as well as Zayn. As you probably know, Zayn has had quite some trouble with the media lately and the stories about him being a jerk to girls have been pilling up. Your job is to pretend to be his girlfriend so that the stories have time to die and he's portrayed to fans as a good guy." The blonde made a face to myself, crossing her arms in front of her chest. If he needed to hire a girl to play his girlfriend, then clearly the boy had some issues with the females. The good thing about this was that she was basically going to be paid for doing nothing and she'd be able to kick her career into full gear while doing it. She nodded quietly before crossing her legs. "I just have one question about the job." Preston turned around, looking at her and urging her to continue speaking. "Are the rumors true? Is Zayn really a dick?" The body guard turned back to his original position and as the car came to full stop in front of the hotel, he spoke gently. "You'll see for yourself."
Preston led her inside the hotel and towards a conference room. Once they reached the door, he stopped, staring at her. "Alright, here you go. I'll have the staff bring your suitcase up to your room and once the meeting is done, Paul will lead you to said room." He smiled, opening the tall wooden door. "Good luck."
Ehvie swallowed, running her hands over the front of her dress before walking into the room. Sat at the table was a quite grumpy Zayn, along with Paul the body guard and two other people who she guessed were part of the management team. She smiled her best smile and walked to the table. "Hi, I'm Ehvie Clark." A tiny man dressed in a blue suit stood up to shake her hand before introducing himself. "My name is Henry and I'm the general manager for One Direction" Ehvie smiled, shaking his hand before she sat down at the table. A girl slid a document towards her, smiling gently. "My name is Sienna and I'm also part of the management team. This is your contract, you can take the time to read it over later and give it to us once it's signed." Ehvie nodded, looking over at Zayn who was typing on his phone and making it his job to not be interested in her. Sienna and Henry stood up, along with Paul and they all looked at me. Paul spoke on its way to the door. "We'll let you and Zayn get to know each other a bit, yeah? I'll be by the door if you two need anything."
