Chapter 1
Juliette's POV:
I was walking through the crowded streets of Brooklyn trying desperately not to run into people as I sprinted to a local drug store. Word had been that Lady Gaga was spotted there early that morning and I was determined to get there and meet her. Once I finally arrived I saw thousands of cameras and paparazzi and pushed my way through the crowd until I got to the door. "Where do you live kid?" A man standing in front of the door asked. I squinted and drew in a shaky breath, "Uhm... Eighth street. Why?" He nodded and stepped aside. "We're only letting people who live in the neighborhood in." I nodded, and stepped inside, feeling the excitement fill my entire body. She was here, and I was going to meet her. I walked swiftly around the store, looking for Gaga. I finally came across a small woman with long curly blonde hair, standing in front of the wine. "G-Gaga!" I gasped, slowly walking over. Gaga and her guards all turned their attention towards me and I smiled widely. "H-Hi... Uhm... I'm Juliette." I said, still out of breath. She smiled and took a few steps closer to me. "Well hello Juliette, are you a little monster?" I nodded with a bright smile. "Yes! I can't believe it's you. I... You mean so much to me!" She smiled warmly and pulled me into a hug, "Awe sweety, you mean a lot to me too." I had closed my eyes and was taking in her embrace when I heard a little giggle behind us. I knew that giggle, it was unmistakeable. I pulled away from Gaga and opened my eyes to see Tara Savelo standing behind her, watching us with admiration. "I... I... I... T-Tara..." I whispered, stepping towards her. She looked at Gaga with a confused look on her face, and then back at me. "Well hi!" She chirped. I smiled to myself, trying to muster up the courage to talk to her. "Uh... You... You're my hero. I love you so much. You've..." I looked at the floor, tears coming to my eyes, "You saved my life. I..." She scrunched her eyebrows and took a few steps closer to me. "Awe, doll. Come here, don't cry!" She hugged me tightly, and I began to shake in her arms. "It's just that... You're my idol. I truly wouldn't be here without you and I... I mean I love Gaga too, and I only found out about you through her but... Ever since you've been a part of the haus, you've been my inspiration. You're so strong, and kind, and brave. And I love doing makeup, but everyone tells me it's not a realistic dream, but I look at you and know that it's possible." She smiled at me, tears coming to her eyes. "Nobody has ever said anything like that before. I think I just met my number one fan!" She said, sticking her tongue out at Gaga. "Would you like autographs?" Gaga asked, pulling out a sharpie. I nodded, and handed her my copy ARTPOP and then turned to Tara. "Uh... I have something I want to tell you..." I mumbled, twisting my hands. "Oh yeah, what is that dear?" "I, I have an addiction. A cutting addiction. But thanks to you I'm five months clean now." She smiled and threw her arms around me. "Good job doll! So proud!" Tears fell from my eyes hearing her say she was proud. She pulled away and looked into my eyes. "You are amazing. I didn't save you, you saved yourself! I am truly so proud of you." Gaga finished signing my cd and handed it back to me, and I handed my pen and notebook to Tara. "Uh, this is going to take a minute." She said, sitting down on the floor and beginning to write. I looked at Gaga who smiled at me, and I looked down at my cd. She wrote that I was strong and brave, she loved me, and to stay strong. I hugged her and thanked her, then looked down at Tara who was still writing and had turned to a second page. After a few minutes she finally finished and handed it back to me. "There you go, doll." She grinned. I hugged her again, and she kissed my forehead. "Thank you so much, both of you. I love you!" I said, feeling a bit sad as I began to walk away. "Make sure you read what I wrote, and keep it in a safe place!" Tara called after me. I thought it was a bit odd, but I turned with a smile and nodded.
I ran home and busted through the door. "MOM MOM MOM MOM!" I cried, running all through the house. Finally my mom poked her head out of my bedroom door, "Yes baby?" She asked. "I MET HER MOM." She smiled widely, "Gaga was there!? You met her?" She asked excitedly. I nodded, "YES BUT TARA WAS THERE TOO. I GOT THEIR AUTOGRAPHS AND I GOT TO TELL TARA!!" My mom smiled almost as big as I was and ran to give me a hug. "I'm so happy for you! What did she say?!" "She said she was proud of me and... I don't even remember but... It was amazing." My mom took my notebook and cd out of my hands and read them, she smiled and teared up during Tara's note, then she gasped. "J-Juliette... Have you not read this yet?" She asked, looking at me with a shocked face. I shook my head and squinted, and she turned the book around to show me.
"NO WAY." I screamed, staring at the last thing Tara had written.
