A/N- The cabin in the picture is Christina's house. Also I am new to Wattpad and this is my first story, so please don't hate too much. But let me know weather or not it's good and what kind of things I should add in future chapters! ~Sam
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~As I walk into the family room to pick up the last box of the 3 boxes and suitcase I had packed to move to my temporary apartment I was mentally checking if I had packed everything that I would need for my vacation to the city. I lived in a cabin like house in the woods about an hour and a half drive away from the city, Calgary. I put the box into the backseat of my black two door 2015 Jeep Wrangler and closed the door, walking back into my house to grab my laptop bag and binder filled with the rough draft of my latest book, Undertow. Walking out my door and making sure it was locked, I walked back to my Jeep.
Getting into my Jeep, I put my bag and binder on the passenger seat, digging through my jeans pocket and grabbing my keys. Putting the key into the ignition and turning them the engine roared to life, I put it into gear and began my rather long drive to the city. I turned on the radio to see if anything good was on, turns out my favourite song was on! I put the volume on 25 and sang along to the lyrics as I drove, bopping my head slightly to the beat. As the lyrics faded signalling that the song was over, I plugged my phone in and turned on that album singing until I was in the city.
When I arrived in Calgary the first thing I did was grab something to eat, I haven't eaten since breakfast and it was currently 3:46pm. I stopped at a small diner and grabbed a cheeseburger, small fries and a coke. I then began my search for an apartment, I've decided that I would wait until I have an apartment before I eat.
After about 30 minutes of searching I found a good sized flat. It was a one bedroom with a master bath; guest bathroom that was connected to the laundry room with room for a toilet, sink, a washer-dryer, a basket and a small towel rack; there was a good sized family/living room with a light grey, "L" shaped couch, a dark spruce coloured wooden coffee table, a side table the same colour as the coffee table with a light grey vase with blue orchids, and a 50" (inch) flat screen TV and a full kitchen.
Sighing I brought my food in and laid it on the counter then went back out to get my boxes, suitcase, binder and my laptop bag. It only took me four trips to get everything in the rather large flat. I laid all the boxes in the living room for the time being and went to the kitchen to warm my food and eat.
By the time I finished I got pretty bored. It was almost 5:00pm and I didn't really want to unpack so, I decided to go for a walk and explore! It was around mid November and it was pretty chilly outside. So, I pulled on my my black coat, grey scarf and black hat. Grabbing my phone and keys I locked the door and left to start my adventure.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/N- So! That was the first chapter of my story, I'm so sorry it was so short. The next update will probably be a "get to know the character" type thing and the following update will be the apartment. But that will all be done within a few hours and I will start the next chapter. Since I left you on a small cliffhanger the next chapter will be Christina's little "adventure"! I will make up a schedule soon so you'll know when my next update will be. Thanks for reading!
