Lots of people (not just on Wattpad) have messaged me asking me why it takes me so long to write (different wording but this is what they mean) so here's a little journal about it. These types of questions don't bother me too much, I get that some people don't understand or are just curious but some people can just be so rude about it... So anyway this is my "process" or whatever (basically the steps I take into writing and posting a written work), keep in mind that this isn't including the time it takes to get inspired or motivated.... Enjoy?
.) Write down what I need to know, physically writing the info helps me remember better then just reading it on a screen
.) Complete the mini draft, at this point only the setting and characters are established and dialogue points are set
.) If mini draft was written (usually is) instead of typed then move everything into a doc and read over for mistakes
.) Go back and complete descriptions of setting and characters and fill in dialogue points if needed
.) Read over the draft (it's no longer a mini draft as this point) and fix any errors and add on if able (endings are the worst)
.) Have beta reader read over the final draft and put their opinions in and edit any mistakes missed
.) Re-write and/or fix any points that were called out by the beta reader and if needed (rare) have it read over once again
.) Fill in info at the top (title, relationships, etc.) and post the work on any familiar social media that welcomes it
.) Watch out for feedback that rarely comes and try to find satisfaction in finally finishing a work
.) Start all over again when inspiration and motivation strikes
