I take a knee, and examine the broken branches and twigs on the ground before me. The cold air, feeling crisp in my lungs as I breathe, burns. I find it to be a good burn however. I look around at all of the various tracks and blood splatters. There is scorch marks upon the boulders and trees, and shedding of fur scattered along the ground.

Mildred: So werewolves? Right? I've got to be right this time!

Me: Mostly... your close. Those scorch marks there and there, are the residue from heavy casting of destruction Magic's. There are also multiple skeletal corpses. So what's that mean?

Mildred: Necromancers!?

Me: Kind of, your getting closer. How about those tracks there? Those aren't tracks that'd belong to a lycan now are they?

Mildred sat and thought for a moment.

Mildred: No they aren't, but they are still beast like. I don't think I know what kind of a creature would leave tracks quite like those...

Me: Well describe what you think the creature would portray based on the look and patterns of it's tracks?

Mildred: Well if I'm reading them right, the patterns have huge creature written all over them. It's not a native animal either, for it doesn't match any predator native to these woods.

I stand now, seeing the whole scene, rather than just what I directly looks at.

Mildred: Uncle what is it? You seem uneasy...

I ponder for a moment taking in the massive skirmish that must've taken place here... by those abnormal prints, the corpses, along with the magical residue points solely to
Vampires. Not just vampires thought, but master vampires. Dangerous beast like creatures that can change similar to werewolves but rather than a large and muscular wolf they resemble large humanoid bat like creatures.

Mildred: Uncle, I think I've gotten it!

Me: And?

Mildred: Vampires and Werewolves!

Me: Good job! Much Much closer now! So what about the vampires tho?

Mildred: WellI don't really know... I just know they use destruction and necromancy magic.

Me: That's very, very good. I'm very proud you could tell that. Your learning has clearly improved.

Mildred: Thank you so much Uncle, me and the instructor at the fort have been studying every night for weeks.

Me: Well clearly it's paid off. Now I'm going to send you back to the fort, while I deal with this, I'll have Agmaer take you home.

Mildred: But Uncle why?! You know I've improved my magic and shield techniques, I can do it!

Me: These are vampiric masters I'm dealing with, along with an entire pack of lycan, this is more than dangerous even for me, now go home!

Mildred: Fine Uncle!

Mildred starts heading back to town. Agmaer lowers his crossbow and I give him a nod to follow her back.
