Chapter 22. The Person -Alien- Behind the Mask

Sooyoon's POV

I woke up to the sound of the blaring noise of the alarm. Only... It wasn't my alarm clock. I walk down the stairs and looked around the empty house. "Dad?? Are you home??" There was silence until a shout and a clang shattered the quiet atmosphere from the basement. I grabbed the baseball bat from our coat closet and braced myself for what lies beyond the basement door.

I flung the door wide open and stood face to face with my dad attempting to silence the hunk of metal that he brought home a few days ago.  "Dad?? What are you doing?"

Dad: Remember the metal box from the alien ship?? I showed to you some time ago.

"If this is about the 'alien' and the spaceship that you snuck into, Im gonna go back to sleep."

Dad: This is serious! Just listen for a second. Please?

I sighed and pulled up a chair to sit next to him. "Im all ears, dad. Whats up??"

Dad: well... This box.. It started glowing and its alarm went off. This proves that there's something out there looking for this and the alien that's roaming in the city.

".... So.. You're saying that the alien is real and that more aliens are coming to find the alien that crashed in the forest??" He nods. "Geez, dad, this is really getting out of hand! Mom doesn't want to come home because she thinks you're more into this "alien" project than her!"

Dad: Look, I wouldn't be lying if I thought that this wasn't important. Your mom is very important to me; so are your brothers and you as well! I just want to get to the bottom of this and if I do, I'll receive a large amount of money to help out with the bills with your mom and I can find a better paying job. This will b the last project that I'll be working on. I promise.

He held my hands and looked at me with desperate eyes. I sighed. "Dad, you know that I don't hate you. We're just worried about you because you're distant from the rest of the family and-"

The beeping from the box continued and it spoke. Not Korean, not English, not even Russian.. It was.. foreign... What was the word??? Extraterrestrial?? 

Dad: Do you believe me now?

V's POV

I sighed as I walked into the school building. I never got the chance to hang out with Sooyoon like I promised.. I hope that she's not mad at me..

Jungkook: Hyung??

"Hmm?"

Jungkook: Your eyes are glowing and changed to blue.. What's happening??

What?? "My eyes are blue?? How is that even possible??"

Jungkook: Well, it's not impossible if you're you know... Out of this world??

"Jeon Jungkook, are you trying to flirt with me??" I wiggle my eyebrows at him and laughed.

Jungkook: You wish. That'll be the day when Suga Hyung has no more "swaeg"

"Awww, Im hurt.." I chuckled. "My eyes are different probably because.." My eyes widened. are they coming???

Jungkook: Because?? Hyung!!

"Well... I have friends from my planet and lets just say... They might be sleeping over.."

Jungkook: More of you guys are coming?!?!?!

I covered his mouth with my hand. "Shut up, don't be so loud!" He stopped walking and stood in front of me.
