Few hours had past, Gabriel and Marian arrived at the cemetery just in time with the said hour that all should be there. From afar to their window Marian saw that everyone is there except them. Gabriel maneuver the car to the nearest doorway of their mausoleum.
She removed her seatbelt and looked at him straight in the eye.
"Thank you for the ride Gab." She made a half smile and open the door. "Sunod kana agad I'm sure hahanapin ka nila." She left him and he nod.
Gia the younger sister of Gabriel approach her.
"Nandito na pala sila Kuya Mommy." She overheard from afar.
"Hi Ate how are you." Gia said when she's near and hug Marian tightly. "I miss you badly. And oh you really look great." She added.
Marian chuckled. "I'm good! Sus I miss you too baby Sis." They both laugh with her words. "Baby sis pa rin Ate? Eh may anak na ako."
"Of course nothing has changed you're still the one." She assured.
"Ate Yan yan talaga." Gia held her hand. "Let's go. Anyway where's Kuya?
"Pinark lang young kotse. He'll follow ."
She paint a smile on her. "I assume you're both okay? so let's move inside." She raised her eyebrow and proceeded their way. Marian was welcome with their close relatives, most of them were invited by Gia and Mommy Gina. She also saw her best friends Alice, Viv and Kaye along with their husbands. Vince closed friends John and Rafael. Just a quick hi's and hello's.
Minutes later everyone is quite as the Mass is about to start. Gabriel came silently and took his seat at the back together with his friends. It seems like a reunion for them. Yeah feels like it, it's been years since their last meet up because they were busy with their family life. Gia who is sitting beside her husband went to Gabriel's place.
"Kuya you're here lang pala, I've been waiting for you sa pinto pero Hindi kita nakita." Gia said to Gab and hug her brother. "I really miss you my handsome Kuya." She smiled and kiss his cheek. Gabriel pinch her nose. "Hindi mo lang ako napansin kasi busy ka kakawentuhan sa kambal. But honestly I miss you too my baby sis." He said to her. "Glad you came back."
Gia smiled awfully. "What's with the smile Gi?"
She shook her head. "Nothing, parehong pareho pa rin kayo ng tawag sakin ni Ate Yan Yan. But anyways thank you at namiss mo din ako dahil ang dami mong utang sakin. " she wabble her eyebrows.
"Anong utang?" He frowned. "Naku Kuya! Until now may amnesia ka pa rin." She laugh then left him.
The mass has started and Marian feels uncomfortable that she still find space on the next chair. She reserved this seat in front for Gabriel but she can't find him.
