We found the tape recorder on the desk and pushed the play button.

"Greetings," came a man's voice on the recorder. " Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. I am Scott Cawthon. I own the place. If you're listening to this, you must be night guards working the overnight shift. As you probably know, we have three animatronics used to entertain the children here; Freddy Fazbear, Chica the chicken, and Bonnie the rabbit. From a first glance, they seem to love their job and are joyful around children, however they are actually quiet vicious creatures."

Me and Henry looked at each other for moment then back at the tape recorder.

"Like humans would, these animatronics don't like being glued to one spot," continued the tape recorder. "So, while your safety is a big concern of ours, we let the animatronics freely roam around the building at night instead of turning them off."

"What," Dillon said gloomy.

"We're still unsure of this behavior," said the tape recorder. "The engineers have been trying to figure this out ever since we first opened."

"This is crazy," I said.

Me and Dillon were not believing any of this, but we kept listening to tape recorder to see if there was anything else we needed to know.

"You're job is to make sure they don't get into the office," continued the tape recorder. "We don't want the animatronics getting into the paperwork there. That's a terrible mess to clean up. More importantly, we don't want them getting to you either. Initially, they might see you as a skeletal animatronic without its costume on and would want to stuff you into a Freddy Fazbear costume. However, as I've mentioned earlier, these animatronics are vicious and they can get angered easily when you constantly keep then from getting into the office. Things could get deadly here."

"Oh my gosh," Dillon said. "We had to sign a wavier for this reason? Give me a break."

"But I assure you there's nothing to really worry about," continued the tape recorder. "In the office, there should be a computer that is connected to security cameras located in various rooms in the building. Use these cameras to see where the animatronics are."

After hearing this I turned on the computer in the office and found the feeds provided by the cameras in the building. I could only look at one feed at a time.

"The animatronics usually begin roaming around at 1:00 am," continued the tape recorder. "They'll probably move from one place to another and stay in that place for a while before moving again, so you should have plenty of time to find each animatronic when it moves, but if the animatronics start changing locations rapidly, that's a problem, because this means that they have become angry enough that they might kill you if they get to you. So, if things get out off hand, then you can call 911. That's what the phone in the back of the office is for."

Me and Dillon turned around and found the phone he was talking about.

"There is also a flashlight provided on the desk next to the computer," continued the tape recorder. "Spare batteries are in the drawer under the computer. Use this flashlight to look out of the doors in the office to see if any of the animatronics are about to get into the office. If their is, push the button next to the doorway to close the door. These metal doors are hard enough that the animatronics won't be about to break through them. However I must warn you, do not leave the office for any reason. You must remain their until 6 am. Besides the two doors for the office and the doors that go outside the building, there is no door in the building that the animatronics can't break through. So don't think you can hide in a different room. More importantly, do not leave the building. We really don't want the animatronics to get out of the building. If they do, they might break into other peoples homes and we will be sued. So please, do both of ourselves a big favor and just stay in the office until 6 am."

"This is going to be the most boring night shift I have ever worked," I said.

"One last thing," said the tape recorder, "This pizza place runs on a limited power supply at night. So try to be conservative with how much power you use. If the power goes out, hopefully one of you is an electrician and would be able to reroute the power from the power box in the office. Still, try to avoid this if you can, because you will be vulnerable if this happens."

"Good grief," said Dillon.

"Well, that's about it," said the tape recorder. "Good luck to you both." And with that the message was concluded.

"Really," said Dillon. "We're being paid twenty dollars an hour over this fantasy."

"I don't believe this," I said.

I looked at the multiple feeds from the cameras. First I looked at the stage. All three animatronics were standing there motionless. Next, I checked the party room in front of the stage. Nothing. Next, I looked at all the hallways. There was nothing in them either. Then I looked at the party rooms which were closer to the stage. Nothing. Finally, I looked at the supply closets which where closer to the office. There was nothing suspicious in any of these rooms.

"I'm not seeing anything," I said.

"So what do we do," asked Dillon.

"I guess we can just relax hear until morning," I said.

"Good idea, I'm just gonna rest here for now," said Dillon. "Wake me if you see something suspicious."

"I will," I said. "I'm not tired right now."

I sat in the office while Dillon was resting on the floor. I wondered if what I heard was really true or is the owner just needed to see a doctor.
