You began tugging at your blouse, noticing every little crease and sighed. "No point in ruining a perfectly good shirt just because of your nerves" you tutted, rolling your eyes. releasing the grip upon the bottom of your blouse, dropping your hands down across the silk fabric trying to calm yourself.
The pinging sound rung throughout your body. Stiffening at the sight before your eyes, you knew that working in a task force like unit would be busy but nothing could have prepared you for this, rivers of people walking, back and forth from desks to printers, printers to rooms just watching as the people swam around the room, made you feel sick. Breathing out the last bit of air from your lungs, you took a few steps forward, removing yourself from the elevator, scanning the room to where you needed to go, your eyes caught the glass doors to the left "FBI - Behavioral Analysis Unit" written in bold blue writing with the FBI logo above, circling around the writing was the additional images from the FBI logo. 'How beautifully detailed' you thought.
Pushing open the glass doors you entered the now bustling room, in the centre of the room were four neatly placed desks pushed together, creating a perfect square and then directly to the left of them another four again. As you scanned up the room now opened up onto another level where two rooms now faced your direction, one being directly in front of a flight of stairs, the door closed and the blinds slightly open, you could see someone inside furiously staring at something upon their desk, Scanning to the right another door was present however this door was open, you could faint noises of an Italian melody.
As you looked down, you made eye contact with a young woman, black silk hair and dark brown orbs which searched into yours. Without warning a sweet but delicate voice appeared next to you, startling you out of your staring competition with the other women.
"Hi, Can I help you?" to your left, a young blonde woman, she was an inch or two taller then you which didn't really bother you much, most people were taller. You nodded, smiling at her "Urm, Yes. I'm Eiki Jones. I've been assigned here... I think?" you muttered.
The young blonde woman nodded "We've been expecting you. My Names Jennifer Jereau, everyone normally calls me JJ though" she smiles "it's a lot easier to remember" she winked at you playfully, handing her hand out to shake yours. You nodded agreeing with her statement "Nice to meet you, Jennifer, I mean, JJ" you smiled, grasping her hand.
She quickly turned back into an FBI agent uncomfortably quickly for your liking after shaking your hand, as she moved her hand in front of her towards the middle of the room "Come, let me introduce you to the rest of the team before I take you to our Unit Chief's office" she smiled. Placing a hand behind your back escorting you further into the room. Without even a second thought you moved alongside JJ, not really knowing what to do.
JJ stopped shortly away from an empty desk "Where's Morgan?" She asked, slightly concerned. The young woman you had only recently had a staring competition with answered "He's getting coffee, though it wouldn't surprise me if he's gotten sidetracked" she smirked. "Sidetracked?" you thought "Urh I'm definitely sure that's not a good thing". She young woman noticed your expression and chuckled, getting up and held out her hand, instinctively you grasped her hand as she spoke "My name's Emily Prentiss, nice to meet you" you nodded once again smiling back "um, Hi, I'm Eiki Jones. I'm your new agent I guess?" you questioned, still slightly confused at what exactly you were going to be doing here.
"New agent?" a curious voice appeared from in front of Emily's desk. A young man sat with one of his legs balancing comfortably across his other knee with a file in one hand and a pen in another. JJ slightly chuckled "Yes, Spence" She replied, glancing a hand towards you "This is Eiki Jones she'll be joining us from now on, as a new agent in the BAU." JJ looked back at you and nodded, grasping one of your hands, she'd noticed your sudden dawning of fear plastered upon your face. Apparently, she wasn't the only one, the young man known as 'Spence' stood up, pulling down his checkered dark green and brown shirt, replacing the hair that had fallen across his face behind his ears and directed one of his hands towards you, nervously smiling. "Hi, I'm Doctor Spencer Reid" you nodded once again, grasping his hand "Nice to meet you, Doctor Reid?" you questioned "As in Professor or actual medic?" you muttered, Reid slightly smiled at the question.
Emily quickly jumped in on the conversation "He's more of a professor type Doctor but knowing Reid, he could definitely pass for both" She smirked into Reid's direction as he puffed out invisible smoke from his mouth. You chuckled slightly under your breath but Reid was quick to answer back to Emily's answer "Yes, Professor. I have three PhD's in Mathematics, Chemistry and Engineering as well as two BAS in Psychology and Sociology" He answered, quite seriously.
Emily leaned back in her chair towards you "Don't worry. We rarely have to change his batteries since he's so life-like!" she squeaked. If looks could kill, Reid would of most definitely killed Emily. Both you, Emily and JJ laughed, you knew you'd get along well with Emily quite well, she reminded you of your best friend back in the day from school, Aimee Brown, sweet, aggressive, proud and definitely sure of herself.
JJ turned slightly passed you, holding out her hand again which basically read as 'this way' before a loud, deep voice boomed throughout the room "You guys are not going to believe-" he cut off his sentence, you could see his eyes moving from your shoes all the way up to your face, JJ rolled her eyes, before she began introducing you "This is Eiki Jones, a new agent who's been assigned to our team" she then turned towards you and pointed at the man now staring at you with intense satification "Eiki Jones, meet Derek Morgan" she muttered. His smile could light up a dark alleyway, without evening knowing it you were smiling back, he held out his hand towards you, grasping your hand and nodded "Nice to meet you, Eiki Jones. Mind if I call you Eiki?" he questioned, you shook your head "Not at all, it's easier that way. Thank you". You nodded. Derek placed down his coffee on his desk while removing his denim black jacket off and threw it on the back of his chair "Call me, Derek" he winked.
Slightly taken back at the high levels of flirting in his voice, you blushed slightly. "Will do" you muttered before JJ grasped your hand and began pulling you in the direction of the stairs you had seen earlier "Bye Derek" JJ slyly shouted behind her, which grasped a small handful of chuckles from around the room.
JJ escorted you up to the closed door you had seen earlier, now you could make out the door plaque which spelt out in bold darkened golden letters "Aaron Hotchner". The colour slightly drained from your face, you knew this name. You remember seeing this name on the letters' you'd received from the FBI and BAU from your interviews a few weeks back, though you hadn't had the luck of actually meeting them in person. The only person you had the joys of meeting as SES Erin Strauss, Section Chief to the BAU, she put the words "Cold as Ice" into a whole new field.
JJ knocked on the door, after receiving a firm "Come in" from the other side of the door, she stepped in, escorting you as well. "Hotch" she muttered "This is Agent-" from what you could tell the person you had seen earlier staring quite furiously at what only could have been paperwork as you scanned the room, as his desk was full of nothing but paperwork and files was SSA Aaron Hotchner, the Chief Unit of the BAU task force. "Yes, Eiki Jones. I've been expecting you" As he pulled himself across the room, handing out his hand towards you. His expression didn't change much from when he was sitting down to now that he spoke. "Must be a man of few words" you thought.
You nodded, grasping yet another hand and smiled gently towards Hotch "That I am, Call me Eiki." Hotch pointed to a set of seats within his office, jestering you towards them. You turned you vision back to JJ, who was now silently removing herself from the room, smiling back at you, mouthing "We'll meet up later" as she left, closing the door behind her, As you turned your vision back to Hotch, you'd noticed he was already sitting, buttoning his suit as he sat, getting comfortable. You placed yourself down on to the other seat in front of him.
He looked up, dead straight into your eyes. "Yikes" you thought. "I'm SSA Aaron Hotchner, I'm the Unit Chief, your supervising Commander, I can see you've already met SSA Emily Prentisss, Derek Morgan, Jennifer Jareau or JJ for short and Spencer Reid" You nodded "I have" you muttered "Lovely people" you smiled, you knew you'd get along with them perfectly fine but Aaron Hotchner was a different story, in the nicest words possible he scared the crap out of you.
As he carried on speaking "You'll also be introduced to SSA David Rossi and Technical analysis Penelope Garcia, as well" Hotch pointed behind him, as you glanced to where his finger pointed "Agent Rossi's room is just on the other side of my office" You nodded again, remembering back to the soft Italian music that was playing earlier "And Penelope Garcia's office is based somewhere else but you'll be introduced and shown where her office is later on" He answered.
Hotch stoop up grabbing a hand-full of paperwork and returned back to his seat "Now, before anything happens, we need to first go through some paperwork and legal documents, this shouldn't take no more than an hour or so" he answered, sternly. You gulped "An hour or so?" you thought, sighing internally.
