Chapter 14: Seriously?

Brayden's POV:

"Brayden?" Ashton asked waving his hand in front of my face

"What?" I asked confused. We had been walking back to my house since it was getting dark.

"I've called your name three times. is everything okay?"

"Um- yeah," I lied, "I'm just really tired." I didn't want to bring up the incident at the time. It was late and I needed to get home to think.

"Okay... Well I asked what you're doing this weekend."

"I'm not sure. I don't think I'm busy. Why?"

"I was wondering if maybe we could go on date number two? I scored two tickets for Mayday Parade on Saturday."

"Oh my God! I love Mayday Parade! Of course!"

"Great! Well, I guess I'll see you then," he said stopping in front of the flat I had recently rented. I hadn't even noticed that we were here yet.

"Wait, are you going to be gone the rest of the week?" I was confused to why he wouldn't have brought it up before.

"Uh yeah," he said. "I have to go somewhere for a couple of days. I'm leaving tomorrow," he stated kind of annoyed.

"Oh. Where are you going?"

"I can't tell you that!" he spat at me angrily.

He'd never yelled at me before and it caught me off guard. I stumbled backwards some.

"Sorry, I just, I have to go," Ashton said quickly as he spun around and walked away, leaving me dumbfounded.

I honestly couldn't believe he did that. He actually scared me. I stood there for a few more minutes as his silhouette faded. I shook it off and walked inside.

As soon as I got inside I dropped my keys down on the coffee table and headed straight for the shower.

I hopped in quickly and turned on the water. I took my time bathing with my favorite body wash. I cleared my thoughts as I stood under the steady stream of the warm water. I needed sleep. My head was driving me crazy.

I threw an oversized t-shirt on over my underwear as I crawled into my bed. I had just changed the bed sheets and it was so cozy.

I plugged in my earphones and turned on my music as I drifted away into my sleep slowly and trying to forget what I had discovered today.

A/N: Oh my God! I am SO sorry I haven't updated in so long! I honestly didn't realize it had been going on this long. This chapter is really short and is a filler but hopefully I can start writing again every few days. In other news I graduate from 8th grade this Friday so yay! I am also valedictorian woop woop! Well, I have to work on my speech some more so that's annoying. I'm terrible at writing stuff like that. I don't know if anyone is even reading this anymore. I wouldn't blame you since it's been so long. But once again I apologize. I've been going through these last stressful times of school. Ugh I'm ready for summer.
