MiYoung's POV

The bell rang while my teacher was concluding his lesson. Finally, what seemed like forever had eventually came to an end. However, we weren't done, we had one more lesson until the end of the day. Great, another hour not listening to the teacher.

Our English teacher started to pack up as the class all began to talk. Small conversations were heard here and there, all about different things. My friends, SooJin and HwaYoung, also began talking to each other. I pulled out my diary from my bag which hung on my desk, just like everyone else's.

As I began writing the teacher we had for the next lesson came in and started to unpack her things. I continued to jot things down. This is what I did whenever I was bored. The next lesson was maths.

I can do this.

The teacher cleared her throat. She was, hands down, the strictest out of all my teachers. The class fell silent, no one said a word nor made a single sound. See, it's not just me.

Mrs. Lee's cold eyes scanned the classroom to see who was listening and who wasn't. It's been 4 months since we've started school again so you'd expect that everyone would be paying attention by now. Well you're right. No one dared to mess with Mrs Lee. We learned that the hard way.

Every time she turned around to write something on the board I would also write things down in my diary. Whenever she turned back to the class I would stop. But not this time, she looked back before I could stop writing.

"Kim MiYoung," she spat with a such a harsh tone, "What on earth are you doing? Can't you see that I'm teaching a lesson?"

I remained silent.

"So you've lost your tongue too?" She scoffed, "Hand it over. Whatever you're writing, it must be interesting. More interesting than my lesson. I want to read it,"

She stepped closer with every word she said, I began to panic.

"Sorry Mrs Lee, you must've understood. I was taking down notes," I held up my maths book which I had quickly scribbled notes in

She must've believed me because her faced softened a bit. Let me emphasise, a bit. She still looked angry though.

"How many times have I told you not to write while I'm still explaining?" She sighed, "Okay, I'll let you off just this time, the next time I catch yo- any of you, it will be a straight forty minute detention."

I nodded in response, not wanting to cause any more issues.

I stopped writing in my diary just in case I got caught again. I felt two eyes looking at me. I looked to my left and saw someone staring at me, curious. Just a couple seats away, I held eye contact with a girl. She was pretty. Her name was MiCha, she hardly ever talked and it was surprising when she did. She immediately looked away when I looked at her. I shrugged and focused on the lesson.

After 35 minutes, the class ended and we were allowed to go home. I started to pack my things into my bag, remembering to put my diary in it too.

I swung my bag on my back. It was a plain black bag with a Nike symbol on it. A lot of people had it. The only thing that differentiates mine from the rest is that it has a keychain on it. It wasn't too flashy and big, you won't notice it at first glance but it was there. I'm surprised no one has accidentally taken mine instead of theirs yet. That's bound to happen though.

"MiYoung! We're leaving, hurry up!" Hurried HwaYoung

"Coming!"

I lightly ran to catch up with them. We all then walked to the bus stop. However, they both went the opposite way from me. So we said our goodbyes when we parted ways.

I walked towards my bus stop. The bus I usually got on unexpectedly drove past me. I ran for my life. I wasn't the most fit but I wasn't bad, I'm pretty good if I don't say so myself. The last person stepped on but I was still quite far from the stop. I recognised him, Lee Jeno. He seemed to have noticed me running for the bus. He probably told the driver to wait for me since he stood there holding onto the bus making sure that the doors didn't close.

I finally made it to the stop and got on before Jeno did. I quietly thanked him and he shot his iconic eye smile. I sat down in a vacant seat which had another empty one next to it.

I took my phone out of my bag and untangled my headphones too. I was exhausted. I had not noticed that Jeno had taken the seat next to me until I placed my bag on the floor next to his.

I struggled to keep my eyes open, and soon after it was fully closed. The music played in my ears.

A moment later...

I suddenly woke up because of the harsh brakes caused by the bus. As I was still sleepy, I tried my best to process what was happening. It seemed like the bus came to a halt at a stop. Phew, I thought it was a major accident or something really serious.

I glanced around me as the doors opened. Hey, this seems really familiar... this is my stop. I grabbed my bag from the floor and left the bus. I almost missed my stop.

My bag feels heavier than normal, I might just still be sleepy and tired from my little nap on the bus. I made my way home avoiding all dodgy areas.

After about two minutes, I made it home. As I wasn't bothered to take the keys out of my bag, I figured that it'll be easier to ring the doorbell instead as my parents were always home anyways.

I pressed the doorbell twice, waiting for the door to open up. Eventually, it did. I was greeted with a big smile from my dad.

"Hi dad," I smiled back

"Hi MiYoung, how was school today?" He replied

"It was so-so" I shrugged, taking off my shoes before I entered the living room

My mum was watching the TV, it's probably another Korean drama. Seems interesting though.

"Hey mum? I'm home"

"Oh hi honey, are you hungry? Did you eat already?"

"Yeah, mum. I already ate so I'm not hungry," I responded

"Ah, okay. Just tell me when you're starting to get a little hungry so I can start preparing dinner,"

"Okay," I called out as I jogged up the stairs to my room

I sloppily placed my bag on the chair near my desk. I threw myself on my bed because of the tiring day. Thank goodness it was a Friday although I never go out on the weekends. More sleep, I guess?

I began scrolling through my social medias. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed until an unknown number sent me a message on Messages.

Unknown Number:
