'WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT?'
He grabbed her head and slammed it on the wooden table. What was surprising was that she hadn't yet fallen unconscious with how hard he slammed her head.
'I'm sorry. I'm sorry! Please daddy I love you! I didn't mean it please!' Aleeya begged. Tears ran down her face, she couldn't stop the pain from happening. She was too weak. 'Daddy please! Dad! I p-p-promise I won't do it again!' She cried. All she did was say no to visiting her Grandma. She couldn't be asked to get dressed and would rather watch Lion King on TV. Grandma's house was only 10 minutes away from where she lived. Her parents allowed her to stay alone before, what was so different now?
'D-d-dad!' Aleeya stammered.'Dad! Dad! Dad! Go and fucking beg! If I tell you we go somewhere THEN WE FUCKING GO SOMEWHERE! WHO THE FUCK SAID YOU COULD HAVE A SAY? ARE YOU THE FUCKING QUEEN?' He spat on her face, then made his way to the kitchen and grabbed a broom stick.
'Dad please no! I'm sorry! I love you please! I didn't m-m-mean it! I didn't mean to talk back or talk with attitude. I'm sorry but I just don't wanna go! We go all the t-t-time!' Poor Aleeya. She always stammered when she cried. It only should how weak and vulnerable she was. 'Oh shut up! You're giving me a headache.' He raised the broom above her and started to beat it down on her legs and arms. She couldn't feel her fingers, they became numb.
'DAD! STOP! P-PLEASE!' She cried even louder. She couldn't bear it. Her mum intervened only once. But there she stood watching. At the time, her mum was speaking to Aleeya's Dad's sister, who heard everything that was going on. Luckily for Aleeya, she rushed down to their house and stopped her Dad before her head had a blow with the broomstick.
'Abe what are you doing? Stop that's your daughter! What the hell!' She stood in front of Aleeya and tried to get him to stop, this bought time for Aleeya to run to their room. (At the time, they only had a one bedroom house. They weren't poor, but they couldn't afford the sky high prices of the houses in London. It was too much for them.)
Aleeya's aunt raced to the bedroom and shut the door, keeping Aleeya in, hiding underneath her barbie blanket, and her parents out. Her Aunt tried to calm her Dad, in which he eventually did.
10 minutes after what happened, he came in to the room and apologised, 'I'm so sorry mummy, I don't know what came over me. Forgive me mummy. High five?' Instead of nicknames like princess or angel, Aleeya's Dad called her mummy. It was a sweet nickname which Aleeya always adored. Whenever he called her that, it meant that he was in a happy, lovely mood.
She saw regret in his eyes when he apologised. It looked like he really did mean it... but fear consumed her. Instead of highfiving him, she burrowed herself deeper in her blanket and closed her eyes tight shut, waiting for him to disappear. She heard a disappointed sigh slip through his lips, and heard footsteps getting fainter and fainter... until he was eventually gone.
No nine year old should never have to go through something like that. But sadly for Alyeea, this certainly wasn't going to be the first.
Hi guys! This book will be covering a (well at least to me) sensitive topic. Through this book, I will (hopefully) raise a lot of awareness for the topics I will be covering, like, abuse (of any form) and depression. No one deserves to go through anything like that, and would hope that those who do suffer from things like these, would only get better and receive a better life than the one they suffer from.
This first chapter is a small insight of what happened to the character, Aleeya at the age of nine, which was mentioned in the description. I hope you enjoy the book and comment down your thoughts on the topics, I would love to know!
All ideas and plot in this book is mine so I'd appreciate if no one copied it xx
Much Love,
