I get dressed into the outfit i picked out last night for my first day here  , i decided to wear a yellow top with black jeans and my new white shoes

i finish my makeup by putting on some mascara to finish off the look ,

" woah i look good today "  i say to myself while starting at myself grinning in the mirror .

I run downstairs to find my mom making bacon and eggs and waffles in the toaster

I sit down next to my mom as she is reading her book while sipping on a cup of coffee

" so are you exited for your first day at richfield high " she says while taking another sip of coffee

" yeah i'm a little nervous , but i'm sure i'll make some friends at least on the first day "

" well .. don't be a lot of people will like you especially some boys "  i laugh and grab my book bag and skateboard and walk over to the door

" Bye mom i love you "

I put in my headphones and click shuffle on one of my favorite playlists , i smile when my favorite song comes on .

even if you don't notice as i admire you on the subway

I eventually reach the school and I feel eyes burning on me as i walk into the main office to get my schedule

" hello uh , i'm here to pick up my schedule i'm new here "

" name please " the woman asks harshly

" here you go , oh and your locker number is 239 "

" thank you " i say with a pushed smile

i walk to locker 239 and i realize i'm next to this this curly brown haired boy with beautiful brown eyes

" hi i'm finn , and you must be y / n "

" yeah nice to meet you , this is your locker right "

" yeah why ? , do you not want to be next to me"
" no i was just wondering sorry " shit i shouldn't have said that , now he probably thinks i hate him

" HEY FINN " 3 boys yell , approaching towards him

" hey guys " he says softly

" oh and who is this fine human being right here " a brown curly haired kid with freckles said , which kinda made me blush and laugh at the same time

"I'm y/n" i say with a light smile 

" well nice to meet you y/ n i'm jack , and this is wyatt and jaeden "

" hey " they both say in sync

" so finn you going to Sophia's party tonight ? "

" yeah my mom and dad are on a business trip so i should be fine , why ? " he says questionably

" well i was about to say you should bring a date , OH HEY won't you look at that , y / n do you wanna come ? "  jack says with excitement

I look over to finn and blush , while telling myself in my head that  I should go out and have fun for a while .
" yeah my mom should be fine with that " i say smiling and biting my lip . "

"great uh we will all pick you up at 8 is that okay ? " he says

" yeah definitely , i'll be ready by then uh here's my number so i can text you my address and actually make sure you are at the right house " i say when they all chuckle a little
"sweet , ok i'll see you guys after school , adios amigos ! "

" i'm sorry about that , jack can be a little bit of an annoying fuck but at least you didn't have to deal with him ever since you were little kids " he says laughing a little

" no it's fine , he seems sweet " i say with a smile

" yeah " he said , there was a long pause until he spoke up
" well uh , we should get to class before you either get marked late or be the last person in class "
^ [we all know that's true lol ]

" yeah , i guess ill see you after school for the party ? "  i say

" yep , i'll see you later you fine human being " he says jokingly.

" bye finn " i say smiling as i shut my locker and walk off to our separate ways.

I smile walking to my first class while thinking of how he called me a fine human being * which he was referring to jacks commentary but whatever , i still liked it :)
