Chapter 1

Elizabeth's POV

I heard my alarm clock go off. I ignored it. I then felt a hand slam against my cheek. Mom. "Get the hell up you worthless piece of shit." She yelled into my face. She left and I got up.

Tears streamed down my cheeks. I looked into the mirror. A bruise was on my cheek bone. I sighed softly. My long straight black hair laid on my mid-back. My lip, nose, and belly button was pierced. I have 2 tattoos.

One is on my collarbone. It said 'forever and always' with an infinity sign. My other one was on my thigh. It was a heart.

I began to take a shower. I got out and got dressed. I put on my make up and grabbed my phone. I ran outside and grabbed my skateboard. I began to skate to school.

Once I got there I went to my locker. I grabbed my books and shoved my skateboard. I closed my locker and walked to class. I bumped into someone. "The hell! Watch where your going slut!" Someone hissed.

I looked down and grabbed my books off of the floor. Tears streamed down my face. My eyeliner and mascara ran. I went to the back of the room. I sat down and stared down at my hands.

I heard more people come. I saw the teacher come in. After a couple of minutes a boy walked in. "Class this is Chandler Riggs he's new. Please take a seat beside Elizabeth." The teacher said.

I kept my head down. My hair covering my face. Chandler walked over and sat down beside me. He slammed his books down on the table. I ignored him. My eyes were focused on my hands.

After class was over I ran to the bathroom. I hid in one of the stalls. Tears stained my cheeks. I breathed heavily. I heard someone come in. I covered my mouth. I heard voices.

"Did you see what she was wearing?" One of them said. Angela.

"Yea. She looks so ratchet." The other one said. Vanessa.

"Elizabeth needs to back off and stop being such a slut. I hear her mom abuses her. I think we should tell the whole school." Another one said. Penelope.

They then left. I cried harder. I heard the bell and walked out of the bathroom. I went to gym and just sat there. Hugging my knees staring at the ground. Tears fell down my face more.

"Hey you okay?" I heard someone ask me. I slowly looked up to see chandler.

"Yea." I said my voice cracking. I looked down.

"Tell me what's wrong." He asked softly. I guess he wasn't as bad as I thought he was.

I told him about my mom and the girls in the bathroom. I could tell he felt sorry because of the way he said things back.

"Don't listen to them." He said softly. I nodded and wiped my tears away. Eyeliner and mascara smeared everywhere. I didn't care.

His hand gently went onto my cheek. He stared at the bruise. "Damn." He mumbled and sighed. He put his hand off of my cheek.

I soon began to feel weak. I felt dizzy. Everything when blurry and hazy. "Elizabeth?" I heard chandler say. That's the last thing I heard before I passed out.

Chandlers POV

I watched as Elizabeth passed out. I yelled for the gym teacher and called 911. An ambulance soon came. I waited holding Elizabeth in my arms.

I put her on the gurney. They put her inside the ambulance. They let me ride with them. I held Elizabeth's pale hand. I know I've only known her for a day but she's just everything.

Once we got to the hospital they did what they had to do. They soon put her in a room. I went inside the room she was in. I pulled a chair over by the side of the bed.

I took her hand and leaned my forehead on our hands. I breathed softly. I soon fell asleep.

*2 hours later*

I woke up to people coming in. I saw the nurse give Elizabeth pain killers. She still wasn't awake.

I sighed softly and leaned over. I kissed her cheek softly. I laid down beside her. I soon fell asleep again

I woke up once again to Elizabeth starting to move. I smiled to myself
