The summer of 1988 was hot and dry. All through out bloom field, maine a.c's were cranked on high and community pools were open on the hot summer days. This, it seemed was the routine for every summer in bloom field, until one summer day, the summer before Alexis's jr year. June 24th. It seemed as if a vast cold breeze had swept over the small town and the town, being so small had encased itself within it. The air was chilled and the night was calm. Every house in every neighborhood had done the opposite of what was to be done and turned off their a.c's and fans, the pools shut down, and most shocking, the heat was put up in every home. Nobody knew why, nobody knew how. Winter had come early that summer so it seemed, until the dry summer rays returned in a gush of heat exactly a day after the chilling event, and all was restored. A.c's were cranked back up, pools reopened, and summer activities were restored. That was the day refered to as the cold day of june. That, was also the day the mysterious Aliester family showed up in town.
