The picture explains how Sophie feels alone.

Sophie's POV

Reality Hits Me

My Uncle Frank yelled to me from the living room. The sound bounced off the walls of my doorless room.Yes I said doorless room.He took my door off the hinges because he wanted easy acsess. The only thing close to a door I was aloud to have was a thick black long curtain that hung on the top of my doorway. He screamed"Sophie get in here now!"

I ran as fast as I could manage.Uncle Frank took me by surprise when he smiled at me.

I questioned " Why are you smiling at me?"

He replied " I wanted it to ease the pain."

I asked back"What pain?!"

He shook his head and handed me the phone. On the phone a lady spoke. She explained that my one and only friend had died in a car accident two hours ago.I ran to my room and broke down.

When I ran into my room it was 12:14 in the afternoon and when Uncle Frank called my name that it was time for dinner at 7:00.Reality hit me I am alone. All alone. That was four years ago but it still hurts.

My Uncle Frank ran in my room looking harsher than usual.

He yelled "You worthless piece of SHÎT!"

I was fastly pulled by the hair off my bed and if that wasn't bad enough I felt a hard kick too my side and he repeated this seven more times. When he finished he left me there.I was barely conscious.I stood up and walked to the bathroom.I grabbed a razor and swiftly added yet another cut to my collection on my arms. The blood ran down my arm and dripped onto the floor. This was a pain reliever in my eyes because it took the pain from my beating wounds to the pain onto the cuts. I ran back to my room and layed down.

Soft sobs escaped my mouth and huge tears streamed down my face. The next morning I woke up and took a shower.I put a long sleeved shirt on and a pair of black shorts along with my black Converse.I slipped out of my room into the living room where my Uncle Frank layed drunk on the couch like he usually was every morning.I walked to school and sat on a bench outside.A person sat next to me.I didn't make much of it because when some one came near me it was usually for a bad reason. The boy waved at me and smiled.I reluctantly smiled and waved back.

He exclaimed"I am Tank Dellarin"

I answered back"I am Sophie Pearl."
