{DEVYN'S POV}
His words sank in slowly. I hade no idea what he was talking about whatsoever.
"What do you me- that's not possi- how?" I was confused.
"I'm your hallucination." He retorted.
"What do you mean my hallucination?" I asked.
"I was never real. Why do you think you're here?"
I thought about it for a second but my thoughts were scattered so I was clueless.
"I-I don't know." I stuttered.
"You have been blabbing your mouth about me. I'm not real. You are the only person that can see me, no one else. It finally got to the point where you were out of control. You kept going on about how you saw me and how I hurt you. Since no one else can see me they thought you were insane. Which led you here." He swung his arms out.
I felt like crying, but I couldn't.
"I never really hurt you. It was a mental problem that turned into a physical problem." He added.
"I hurt myself." I said quietly.
He nodded.
"This is your fault." I screamed.
"Shutup!" He shouted back.
"Do you want them to come in and take you somewhere worse because I can guarantee you won't like it." He pronounced.
"What do you want from me?" I cryed.
"I don't want anything." He said.
"Just leave me alone then! Get out of my head!" I plunged my face into my pillow and cryed.
"Only you can make me leave." He set his hand on my shoulder and got up to leave.
Someone had knocked on the door.
"Sam?" I whispered while tears dripped from my eyes.
"Sam." I said once more before they opened the door.
A nurse then walked in and handed me a different outfit.
"Showers are the last door to the left. You have 15 minutes." He stated.
I slid the covers off of me and shuffled towards the door. I turned my head towards him.
"Do you have-"
"You'll find what you need in the bathroom." He interrupted.
I turned back and started walking towards the bathroom. As I was walking I scanned the area looking at all the different people.
A lady with short red hair was sitting in the corner rocking back and forth and mumbling words under her breath.
As I kept going I saw someone talking to one of the nurses working at the desk.
"Sam?" I shouted.
The guy turned around and looked at me weird. I was disappointed that it wasn't him. I wanted him to visit me so we could talk, but I wasn't counting on it.
I kept walking as a guy stared at me from where he was sitting. I turned my head ignoring the awkward stare and walked into the bathroom. It was empty.
I stripped to my bare body and set all my clothes to the side. I turned on the freezing water and kept it there. The water felt good against my body.
I put on my clean gown and brushed my hair all the way through along with brushing my teeth.
I walked out of the bathroom only this time I kept my head down hoping not to get into an awkward situation.
I arrived back in the room and laid down. The nurse came in a couple minutes later to make sure I was back from the shower.
"Are you ready for your medicine?" He asked.
I nodded and sat up.
He gave me 3 pills and a cup of water.
"I'm not crazy." I said putting the cup down.
"Who's James?" He questioned.
I said nothing.
"Exactly." He said.
"I'm not!" I shouted.
"Then who is James?" He asked once more.
"It's just a hallucination." I claimed.
"A hallucination?" He tilted his head.
"I've seen him all my life. When I moved here I could no longer see him. I thought he was real but I was wrong. He's a hallucination." I stated.
He sat there quietly.
"Wh-"
"Shhh he's here." I whispered.
