Was this really AJ's future? To die like her mother? To die in the midst of a crime? As she fell to the floor, AJ thought to herself, "Gingersnap, my dear, if I do die, take your time. Do not come rushing to be at my side." And with thus, AJ laid there on the ground, slowly bleeding out.

Gingersnap's POV

Oh my, AJ hasn't been home since a few hours. I trusted her with her crimes, but oh, what if she was arrested? Or killed? No no, do not think those things Gingersnap.

I looked at my phone. A call from an unknown number? I answered. "Hello? Who is this?" I asked.

"Eggbert Western Hospital. From our records, Ms. AJ is your fiancé?" Said a feminine voice.

I nodded to myself. "Yes. Is AJ okay?" Do I worry too much about her?

"Ms. AJ is dying. She was shot in her side." Said the voice. Oh god! Why did I trust her robbing a jewelry store? Her mother might've been able to do it, but she couldn't. No, she's filled with grief after killing a human.

A tear slid down my cheek, though I made it sound like I wasn't crying. "I will be right over." I hung up. I slipped on my boots and coat then headed out. I got into my car and drove to the hospital.

Timeskip to where Gingersnap is in AJ's room

"AJ, it's going to be fine. You will survive." Messy tears ran down my face. AJ, my dear, please survive.

AJ chuckled slightly. "You're just like Bri, always saying things will be okay when you know they're not." She looked at me weakly. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.."

"You make me happy when skies are gray.." I whispered for only her to hear.

"You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.." She whispered. AJ was weak, she was going to die.

"Please don't take my sunshine away..."
