Ch 23. Darkness

Kalem:

Dark. Is everything that I see. I don't hear my babies crying, I don't hear the doctors talking. Nothing. I looked around the place that I was in. Empty darkness went all the way. I sighed softly, I guess this is it..

I felt my tears gather up in my eyes. I want to go back... I want to see my babies... I want to hear their first cry... I want to see their eyes looking at the world... I want to feel them in my arms... I-I want to go back to Troy...

I put my hands on my face, sobbing softly in them. I put my legs by my chest and hugged them.
I don't even know how long I was sitting in this place. Tears won't even run anymore, why I'm even here? Why I'm not in heaven or hell? Why it's so empty here? I don't get it.. I don't want to be stuck here forever...

I looked back at the darkness, staring at nothing.
I put my face on my knees, trying to at least sleep this through.

I breathed softly until I felt a cold hand on my shoulder. I jumped out of the grip gasping loudly. I looked back and I saw a beautiful woman standing in front of me. She had long white hair, with some blue braided stripes going down. Her skin was white as snow, almost glowing. But the only thing that was different was her eyes. Her eyes were bright gray color.

"W-who are you?" I looked at her bright eyes.

"You my child.. your time is still has to come. You are still not ready to come to me. Your family needs you. You need them."

She gently caressed my cheek.
"What do you mean? I can go back?!" I stumbled on my feet.

"I will take you when your time will come. Now my child. Go back. Love my children who are still in your world. Be a great Luna." She let go of my cheek and disappeared into darkness.

"Wait!" I waved my hands where she stood before. "What should I do..?"
I looked around again, nothing changed. I started running in all directions looking for the way to go back. Suddenly a bright light appeared behind me. I turned around and saw a view of me lying on the hospital bed. Not breathing. My heart sped up. My skin was more pale than before.

I looked at the side of the bed and saw Troy. He was gripping my hand tightly, I could see his back twitching, he was crying. My heart tightened from the view, I need to go back.

Troy:

"I'm sorry Alpha. We did everything we could." Katherine petted my shoulder. I was standing in the room where Kalem lied lifeless. I can't believe this. No.. he's okay.. he's not dead.

"No! No! Kalem! You're alive! You're okay..!" I grabbed his face to wake him up. I put my head over his chest to hear his heart beat. Nothing is all I hear. My tears ran on my cheeks.

"Kalem no..." I took his already cold hand in mine. I herd the nurse trying to take off all the gear which was on Kalem.

"No! Leave it be! He. He still can come back.." I said desperately. The nurse looked at me troubled. But did as I asked and went out of the room.
I felt my father come up behind me.

"I-I'm so sorry Troy..." I herd his sob. I put my head on the bed crying loudly. I felt my father hug me from behind.

"I can't live without him~" I cried even more.

"I know... I know... but your kids.. they need you to be here for them..."

"Yeah. You're right.." I lifted my face from the bed.

"Where are they now?" I looked at the door. Not a single doctor told me anything about my. Our Kids.
"Can you call me Katherine here?" I asked my father. He nodded and went out of the room.

I looked back at Kalem. Tears gathering in my eyes again. I looked away. I have to be strong for my pups. They deserve a good father. I looked out of the window. The sun was almost setting.

I let go of Kalems hand and went up to the window. I opened it up and breathed in the fresh air. My thoughts were all over the place.

Suddenly I herd someone from behind take a deep breath.

"Katherine finally your-" my heart missed a beat. Kalem. Is breathing.

"Kalem!" I ran to his side. "Kalem! Kalem oh my god!" I took his hand in my, tears of happiness running out of my eyes.

"T-Troy... I made it." He smiled a weak smile at me.

"Yes! Yes you did!" I herd someone come in the room.

"Alpha I'm really sorry for your loss-" she looked surprised when she saw Kalem awake.

"Luna! Wha-" she ran to his side to check Kalems condition.

"You're seem healthy Luna. B-but I don't understand how?" She looked troubled.

"It's not the time." Is all he said before looking back at me.

"Where are they?" He looked a little scared for a moment.

"Your babies are resting. We made all the tests and they're healthy how they should be. Congratulations Alpha and Luna you have two healthy boys." She smiled a warm smile at us.

I took Kalems hand and looked at him. I couldn't describe how lucky I'm.
