I sighed as I slumped my head into arms as bullets were shot around me.

The yellow thing my classmates were trying to kill had decided to do role call during the chaos.

"Marigold?" He called out over the gunfire.

"Here!" I shouted from my racoon of arms.

"I'm afraid you were muffled from your arms, would you please speak louder?" The octopus taunted.

With an annoyed sigh, I raised my head from my arms long enough to yell "Here!" So he could hear me.

The teacher continued on with the roll call as I continued to mentally  curse my fellow classmates for their ruckus.

I just wanted to get some fucking rest.

"No luck today either, eh? What's the lesson here?"

Retoricle question.

"Numbers are no substitute for inventiveness, perhaps? That any hack can point a gun and pull a trigger? Some of Column A, some of Column B?"

So damn annoying.

"I get that you're trying to cast the net as widely as possible, so to speak, but the approach lacked originality."

Damn lectures.

If I wanted to hear another freaking lecture I'd have stayed with my aunt in America.

"When the target clocks at Mach 20, an assassin has to think outside the box."

I just tuned it all out

We had this same 'discussion' yesterday.

I was once more brought to the world around me as our new teacher addressed me. "And don't think I haven't noticed you're lack of participation, Marigold. Part of being in this class is attempting the assassination with you classmates. Teamwork is needed."

I rolled my eyes with my arms still covering my face. "Still don't care. Can we get on with the lesson, now?" I shot back.

I didn't want to be here.

"Now, now, we can in a moment, but first, we do need to talk about your lack of effort." He chided.

I looked up from my arms just enough for him to see me glaring into his soul. "Can't talk about something I'm not going to speak about."

"Tch. What a prude." I could hear someone sneer towards the back right of the classroom.

I didn't care.

Eventually, the issue was dropped and our lessons for the day began.

Finally, I was able to blissfully fall asleep.

The bags under my eyes proved how little sleep I got on a regular basis.

I didn't wake up until the bell for lunch rang.

"That's lunchtime, everybody. Excuse me while I pop over to China for a quick bite. You have my cell number, any killers feeling especially triggerhappy today are welcome to hit me up." I heard before a huge gust of wind blew through the classroom.

"Kei, you're welcome to copy my notes during lunch, if you'd like." The only person in this class I could get along with answered.

I turned around and saw Hinata Okano. "Sure. I made a bento for you, so we can eat together if you'd like." I offered.

It was kinda an exchange we had.

I was still used to US time and couldn't really adjust well.

I was up all night and felt like death during the day.
