"I'd like to make a toast to all of us for working so fucking hard this tour. Chris, you are the fucking dude, your banter is top class. You're a legend. Max, you're my best friend. You've been with me through everything. Matt, you are the chicken freak. I fucking love you though. Dan, I'm so glad you're in the band. You're so lovely and just, thanks for being there. Ilona, I'm glad Dan has someone as lovely as you. Hayley, you're a fucking amazing singer. And I fancy your Boyfriend. Jack, you are the fucking sex. I've only known you a couple of days but you're already shagging Hayley Williams and you're becoming one of my best friends." Josh said, sitting at the end of the table in the pub.
"To You Me At Six." Max said, raising his glass.
"To You Me At Six." Everyone repeated, clashing their glasses together.
"Oh, You Me At Six. I haven't heard that name in a long time." A tall guy said, walking into the pub. His dark, quiffed hair reflected the light.
"No fucking way. Is that really you!?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. It is me, I've changed, huh? What are you doing here?" The man asked.
"Whoa dude, it's been, what, 5 years? And man, I should be asking you. We've just finished our tour!"
"Yep, so good to see you Josh. You look so different but you still have the same face as when you were a teenager. Oh, and I live here now. I needed away from Surrey."
"Thanks dude, good to see you too! Come join us?"
I sat there. I didn't know who this guy was. Max, Matt and Chris seemed to know who he was surely. They didn't seem happy about the guy being there but they kept their cool.
"Who's that?" I whispered to Max.
"Joe Phillips. Our old drummer." Max whispered back.
"Oh, as in the one who caused you loads of stress?"
"Yup. Him. Why's Josh asking him over? He's intimidated by him, look.."
"I have no idea, keep your cool though Max, keep your cool."
The male figure walked up the table with Josh. Josh seemed happy. I have no idea how.
"Guys, look who it is! Remember Joe?" Josh said cheerfully.
"Oh my God, yeah! Joe, man!" Max said, with a cheerful voice on.
The hours continued and we had more drinks. Joe seemed like a friendly guy and everyone seemed to get on with him. I think they sort of let the past go.
Although, Joe was acting funny with me and Hayley. He kept staring at her, it was kinda creepy. Then that's when everything kicked off.
Max and Chris were outside because Max needed a cigarette and Chris went to keep Max company. I also knew that they wanted to rant about Joe. You could tell.
Matt and Dan went away to play snooker. You could tell they needed to get away too. Joe must of messed up everybodies lives pretty badly.
Josh and Ilona went up the bar to get some more drinks and that was when me and Hayley decided to get up and join Max and Chris outside. That's when everything started to get uncomfortable.
"So, what's your name?" Joe asked Hayley.
She got uncomfortable and decided to walk away with me in her hand. Joe got up, grabbed her hand and whispered "Don't go baby." I overheard so obviously, I had something to say.
"WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING TO!? GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF HER NOW OR I'LL FUCKING SPILL YOU ALL OVER THIS FUCKING PUB."
"Don't even fucking start mate. You haven't got a fucking clue what I'm capable. I could 'spill' you all over this pub right now if I wanted too. But no, not infront of the lady."
This is when I got really angry and decided to do something. I said to him "Joe, come here a minute?" I grabbed him by his greasy hair, put him on the floor and said "Get up, spill me. Right now. Go on. 'Infront of the lady.' I fucking dare you. Get the fuck up now."
He got up and said "Okay, sorry. I just find your girl attractive."
"YEAH! MY GIRL. NOT YOURS. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO TOUCH HER? SHE BELONGS TO ME. NOT YOU."
"No hard feelings man, you've got yourself quite the babe there."
"NO HARD FUCKING FEELINGS? ARE YOU TAKING THE PISS? YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW FUCKING ANGRY I AM. YOU NEVER DID FUCKING CHANGE. I'VE HEARD EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU. YOU SEEMED OK FOR THE FIRST WHAT? HOUR? AND THEN GO AND TRY AND TOUCH MY FUCKING GIRLFRIEND AND CHAT HER UP, WHILST I'M HOLDING HER FUCKING HAND!? YOU NEVER FUCKING LIKE THE BOYS DID YOU? YOUR JUST A FUCKING LITTLE TOOL THAT HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO THEN GET INTO FUCKING FIGHTS AND RECK PEOPLE'S DREAMS. HUH?"
By this point, I'd seen Hayley crying when I'd looked over. It made me more angry knowing that a fucking little alcoholic had frightened her. Or even worse, I'd frightened her. Max, Matt, Dan, Josh, Chris and Ilona stood around us wondering what was going on.
"These guys used to be my BEST FRIENDS and chucked me out for no reason. By the way, fuck off. I'm not taking shit from a stranger. Yeah, your girlfriend is hot. I want her. In fact, I want to fuck her. There's nothing you can do about that. All you are is a fucking retard who thinks he's special because he's banging a ginger and is 'On tour' with You Me At Six. Your just a fucking nobhead who thinks he can get anyone when really, you can't get fuck all. I'm surprised You Me At Six actually made it to be honest. They're shit."
I clenched my fists. I'd heard something that I didn't want to here about my Girlfriend from someone who almost wrecked my idols' lives.
I swung my arm back and smacked my knuckles into Joe's cheek. It hurt my knuckles as he fell to the floor.
Joe had lost his balance and woke up after about 10 seconds on the floor. Unsure of what'd just happened.
I'd kept hearing what Joe said to me over and over again so I swung my leg back and kicked him in the stomach. Knowing his insides were already going to be thrown up.
I took my hand and wiped it on my T-Shirt like I'd won the fight and then winked at Hayley.
I walked over to her and took her hand. When I held it, I felt so much better. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her. Feeling her heart beat against my chest made me feel so warm inside. That was the first time I'd ever done that for ANYONE. I knew I meant it. She wasn't going to be hurt as long as she was with me.
I wiped the tears away from Hayley's eyes and exited the pub.
"So! Where to now then?" I said, like nothing had happened.
