I woke up to the sound of my stupid brother yelling and shaking me. I groaned and picked up my alarm clock and threw it at him.
"Fuck! That actually hurts!" He exclaims. I open my eyes and see that it has hit him straight in the head. I then look down and see that my alarm clock is broken. I simply shrug it off. Oh well, I'll just buy a new one.
"Alex! Alexandra! Keep it down, Julia is here!" My other brother, Alexander, yells. Julia is his girlfriend, they have been dating since grade 5 when we were fighting over a ball and it accidentally hit Julia in the head. Alexander went to apologize and since then they have been a couple. I have also gotten very close to her in these past few years; she is one of my best friends.
"Why are you still here? Holy shit, is that blood? I am so fucking sorry." I say all at once walking up to my brother now concerned. He lifts his hand from his head and there is a small cutting and blood is coming out.
"Alexan-," I yell but my brother puts his bloody hand on my mouth. "What the fuck? I was trying to get help and now I look like a fucking cannibal," I yell at him.
"If Alexander knows he'll give both of us a long lecture about things we're not going to listen to." He says.
I understand him immediately, Alexander was the overprotective brother, he was like a parental figure but a little bit more fun. It was kind of ironic too since he was the youngest out of us three.
I run into my bathroom and get a wet cloth. I put it on his head as he hisses in pain.
"I guess we could put on bandages. It would cover the wound. Do you have any, because I don't?" I say.
"It's in Alexander's room, in his tiny drawer." Alex groans.
I get up and run to Alexander's room and look in his drawer and find the bandages. As I said before; Alexander was actually responsible. I take a bandage and hurry into my room.
I take the cloth off of Alex's head and put on the bandage. After I'm done doing my thing and cleaning up my useless and broken alarm clock, I walk into the washroom to clean the blood on my mouth. After I'm done, I look at Alex. He looks pretty weird like that. He walks towards my mirror and looks at himself.
"How the fuck am I supposed to cover this up?" He asks annoyed.
"I mean you have long hair, or you could just wear a hat. You look good in a hat," I try to lighten the mood.
"Here," I throw him a Nike hat. He puts it on and smiles. "Stop checking yourself out in my mirror," I say annoyed and I grab his wrist and drag him away from the mirror and out of my room.
We walk down and we are greeted by a smiling Julia and a pissed Alexander. "What took you guys so long and why is he wearing a hat?" He asks. "Because he looks good in hats," I reply simply, sitting at the kitchen table. Alexander and Julia both look at me shocked and Alex has a very smug expression. "Did you just compliment him? What the hell happened?" Alexander asks and we both ignore him.
"So what's for breakfast?" Alex asks. "Pancakes," Alexander replies putting a plate with 5 pancakes in front of both of us. We look at the pancakes like a bunch of... kids who like pancakes. "Whoever finishes last has to do the dishes for a week," I say spitting into my hand. "Deal," I watch as Alex does the same and shakes mine. I wipe my hand on a tissue and look at Alex challengingly.
Alexander looks at us like we're disgusting, but I know he secretly likes watching one of us lose. "3...2...1...GO!" Alexander counts knowing how much we love our stupid challenges. Immediately after 'GO!' both Alex and I start eating with our hands because forks are for losers. He was almost done when I yelled "Done!" and put my hands up.
