The Great Mistake

Chapter 1

Ajani's POV

"Ajani! Ajani! ", I heard my mom say.

"Mm mm", I said sleepy.

"Get up. You're gonna be late for your first day in eight grade. "

"Okay mom. " I replied.

I quickly ran in the bathroom, got toothpaste on my toothbrush and started brushing. When I was finished, I took a quick shower. When I finished, I quickly got dress and went downstairs for breakfast.As I stepped in the dining room, I could smell the delicious pancakes waiting for me to gobble them down. My mom saw me and humorously said, "Don't even think of it mister, you know we have to wait until you are at school so you can eat. Remember what happened the last time? "

Flashback

I went downstairs and sat down for breakfast. My mom always wanted me to eat when I get to school because I can't travel when I just finished eating. I always throw up when I  do this but I keep it up until I am at school.

Today I was feeling very bad when I did this.My mom saw me and asked, "What's the matter honey, you feeling okay?"

"Yes mom I'm fine. " I lied.

"Okay dear but if you're not feeling well....... "

"Mom I'm fine." I said before she could finish.

As we were driving towards the school, I could not hold it anymore. I rapidly lowered my mirror and started to throw up.

"I knew it. I knew that you were always holding it until you were at school. From now on, you take your lunch to school. "

"But mom"

"No buts. Now go to class. "

I frowned and said ok and went to class

"Ok mom, you won. "I said with my hands in the air surrendering.

"Now  go get your bag. ",  she said.

"Yes mom." I replied going for my school bag.

"Yes, my first day at school I thought to myself.

Christina's POV

"I can't believe you're in grade eight. You're growing up so fast!" I heard my mom said.

"Mom you're over exaggerating" I replied.

"Okay. Okay I'll stop but you're growing up so fast and soon you'll leave and forget about me." She said with a tear streaming down her face.

"Mom I'll never forget about you." I said as I wiped away the tear from her face. As I said that, I saw a smile on her face.

"Yes, just like that you look beautiful."

"Oh shut up and go to school.", she said

So I kissed her on the cheek and was off to school. I was nervous but I felt like something special was going to happen today.
