Happy New Year!!!

It was 31st of December. New Year day. This year had passed so fast and a lot happened during this year. Simon never thought the year they're were leaving behind would be like that. He started dating Daphne Brawn who accepted him just like he was,he got second in a swimming competition and now he was in college. Time flies really fast but important is to have a great time with the family and friends. And yeah Simon was having a fantastic time with them. Tonight it was party time. He would celebrate with his friends New Year and was happy not for the party but because he missed them so much. He hadn't seen Tom,Sue,Georgia and Derek since September but at least he had Daphne with him in college so someone who would always remind him of high school.
It was still afternoon and he was getting prepared for it. He wanted to look perfect so he had went shopping and had bought a nice suit for himself which made him look pretty elegant.
"Daphne will love this " he thought watching himself at the mirror. At that time he heard a knock.
"Simon are you dressed up? May I come?"
"Yes mum. "
Jane opened the door and stayed at the door with a wide smile on her face.
"Simon you look great like an entire different person. This suit  really suits you. "
"Thanks mum. I'm liking it too."
"Wow you're suprising me son. Since when you take so much care of your appearance? Last year you almost went on pyjamas at school." She said approaching to him.
"Well people change mum. I have also a suprise for you."
"Me? What suprise?"
"I'll let you do my hair."
As soon as Jane heard it she started laughing and started playing with Simon's hair making them messy.
"What a nice surprise! I thought you didn't like it."
"I'm making an exemption this time."
Similing Jane hugged him tight and Simon hugged her back.
"I love you so much Simon and I'm so proud of you. Never forget that. "
"I love you too mum. "
"Sometimes I think it's my fault for what happened to you Simon and I just want to do everything to make you feel happy and correct my mistake. "
"Mum please don't think like that. You haven't done anything wrong. I'm happy with my life. I have told you this a hundred times. "
"I know son but I've always wanted to see you walk, taking your first steps. "
Jane said crying.
"Mum it's okay. " Simon said trying to calm her down." You have made my fly and that's much better than walking. "
"Simon you are the best son a mother can ask for."
"It's because of you. Thanks mum for everything you have done. "
"No problem. "Jane said wiping her tears.
They stayed hugged for some moments until Alexandra walked in.
"Hey you. Daphne called on the phone. She said that they're almost here to pick you up.
"Oh really? Mum come on. Hurry up."
"Just give me a minute. "
"Mum don't forget my hair next. I have party too with my girl friends. "Alex said going to her room.
After some minutes Simon was ready and actually this time he looked good and not like some idiot.
"Wow mum this is fantastic!"
"I'm happy you like it. Oh the door rang. "
"It's them. I'll open it."
Simon quickly wheeled himself to the front door and opened it fast. There were all of them smiling at him looking all nice in their fancy clothes. Then they all gathered together and made a group hug. They had really missed each other.
"Finally together just like the old times. " said Georgia.
"I can't believe this. E magnifico. " Said Sue. Well now that she had learned Italian why not to speak it.
"I have missed you all so much." Said Daphne.
"Stop lying Daph. We all know you have missed only Simon. " said Derek.
"Admit it Brawn. " said Tom.
"Haha you are so funny." Daphne said blushing.
"You look so cute kids " Jane said.
"Oh Mrs Johnson. How rude of us. Happy New Year! "
"It's fine Tom. Have fun you kids. "
"Thanks Mrs Johnson. "They all said leaving Simon's place and going to Tom's  car.
"So where are we going? " asked Simon.
"I know the place. It's a nice club on the rooftop. " said Georgia.
"Nice we can also see the fireworks. " added Tom.
"But you know what we have to do when the midnight comes Tom." Sue said playing with her hair.
Daphne and Simon smiled at each other blushing while the twins looked at each other disgusted.
"Come on Georgia. Where do you think of dating?"
"I'm dating Hollywood Tom. I think it's enough. "
"And you Derek? "
"I don't know. At this moment the only girl for me is Georgia. "
"Aww you're the best bro." She said hugging him.
"What?  You too will marry each other? You would look like just like Milhouse parents at The Simpsons. " said Sue laughing.
Simon and Daphne laughed while the twins looked angry at Sue.
"Come on G. She's just kidding. "
"Oh yeah Daphne. I can't stop laughing. I'm good as I am. I don't have time for boys. "
"Sorry to interrupt but we are here. "
"Yay let's dance. " said Georgia excited.
"Wow Georgia you were ready to kill Sue just a minute ago and now you are happy. "
"Dancing makes me happy. Why are we still in the car? Let's get outside. "
They went out of the car and Tom helped Simon as well. Then they went to the elevator to go on the rooftop where the music could be heard even at the first floor.
The place was fully packed. There were people dancing everywhere enjoying their time.
"Let's find our table first. "suggested Derek.
After some minutes they found it and ordered some coctails. What made Simon happy was that people there weren't staring at him like someone you should feel bad. He always hated this and was nervous at first for  coming here but now he felt pretty comfortable.
Their drinks came and they raised their glasses.
"Cheers!!!! Happy New Year!!" They said together.
"Okay I got bored here now let's dance. " said Georgia grabbing  Derek's hand and going to the dance floor.
Tom and Sue got up and also went dancing.
"So I guess it's just us Simon. "Daphne winked.
"Don't you want to go dancing? "
"Dancing can wait. I'm dying to do this. " she said as she grabbed Simon's face and kissed him with so much love. Simon pulled her closer by grabbing her neck. After some moments they pulled away to breathe.
"I had really missed you Simon. Seriously these days without you were so empty. I could barely call you."
"Well you're here now. "
"Yeah finally. Come on let's dance. "
"Of course "
They both went to the dance floor and danced all together having fun and throwing their hands on the air. It's had been quite a long time they went partying like this so they were enjoying every single second they had because well school would come soon and they would be separated again. Everything was going awesome but then the music stopped. It was time for the countdown.
"Wow these hours flew. " said Derek.
"Shut up and count. "Said Georgia.
"5...4..3..2..1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"
In that moment thousands of colorful fireworks lighted up the sky. It was spectacular. Everyone was watching amazed at the sky. Then couples started kissing so the next year would be full of love. Some others were still watching at the fireworks.
Simon grabbed Daphne's  hand and slowly said.
"Happy New Year Daphne."
"Happy New Year Simon "
And then they kissed with all the love they felt for each other......
