~ 15 ~

Lucy's POV

I finally reached the rooftops. It seemed so up far and quiet in the school for once. I opened the door to see Natsu just sitting leaning on the cold concrete with him just eating a packet of crisps and scrolling down on his phone. He looked bored out of his mind..

"Lucy, go away."

I got startled by his voice, how did he know it's me already?!

"How'd you know it's me?"

He glared at me with a complete annoyed look and looked back at his phone.

"Natsu, why are you acting like this? I know I keep saying we're not dating but because we aren't.."

"Are you actually an idiot?" He locked his phone and put it in his pocket and sat there and glared at me.

"What'd you mean?"

He sighed deeply..

"I basically confessed to you earlier, and in maths. Don't you remember? I said I love you and you're mine. I could've confessed but I was interrupted by Aqua lady and I'm not good with words.." he looked away.

"Why didn't you tell me this before Natsu?"

"I said, I'm not good with words what more do you not understand?" He raised his voice a little which was kinda terrifying if I'm honest..

"No.. Like- I don't get it. It doesn't seem like you've been yourself lately."

"Lucy, this is me. Not any other me. Not a changed or will be changing me. This is me. I do have a short temper and a lot of mood swings, but I-I just.. can't help it."

"Why'd you snap at me earlier then?"

To be honest, I need answers.

"No one should allowed to call you nicknames.. only me.."

"Natsu you don't have to be that overprotective.."

"Yeah but you ain't theirs Lucy.. you're mine and will always be mine.." He looked up at me with hurt, lust and frustration in his eyes with his brows furrowed a bit.

"Then let's make a promise, will you promise that you'll never leave me?"

I've said this to him before, let's see if his answer changes...

"I-I can't promise that.." He turned away.

"Why? You're saying that I'll be yours forever but then can't promise anything? Natsu, what's going on."

"It's just nothing.."

What's he hiding?...

"If you say so." I sighed out. It was just a silence from then on.. Him just sitting on the cold floor and me just standing there trying to make myself warm as the wind was breezing through my hair towards the eastern side.

"Lucy.."

"Yeah..?"

He sighed again heavily and turned around to look at me.

"I think it's better if we took a few days away from each other.. For the best of us." He said whilst wiping his tear away. He was crying?! And he wants to have a break?!

"W-Why?"

"It's better for the best of us.."

"No it's not! Especially not for me.."
I ran up to him fell on my knees and hugged him as tight as possible which he tensed at the sudden move but then finally relaxed.

"I... won't let...you...go." I hesitantly said which brought slowly brought tears to my eyes.

"Lucy, I'm sorry.."

"I need you Natsu.. please don't go.." I started to sob a bit loudly and my voice slowly going hoarse. He then finally hugged me back with his comforting arms around me and rested his head on his head on my hair.

" Luce listen..please don't cry.. I-It makes it so much difficult for me.."

"Then don't leave me.."

"Trust me this is the best for us, don't you dare think that I wanted this either.."

"Why'd you have to go? Tell me." I said as tears stung my face as they rolled down almost like a waterfall.

"I- I wish I could tell you that but I can't tell you yet either.."

"Natsu.. just tell the truth!.." I raised my voice a little but stopped sobbing.

"I- I can't...I can't do this anymore.." He let go off me, stood up and walked towards the door with his hand on the door handle. He then twisted his hide to the side so he could still see a bit of me.

"I'm sorry Lucy.." And with that, he left without looking back with his hands in his pockets and couldn't be seen due to the brick walls.

Why'd he want to have a break for each other? I need Natsu... His warmth and comfort of his body heat is so nice.. His beautiful onyx orbs, when you look at him, you get lost in them... His husky, hoarse voice and mischievous, cute sexy laughs that honestly no one could beat..His colone that he wears smells so expensive that already even now...

I miss him...

Natsu's POV

"I'm sorry Lucy.." And with that, I left without looking back with hands in my pockets and I couldn't see her look at me be due to the brick walls.

I need to tell her soon about Nirvana otherwise Gray is right, I will leave her heartbroken. More than she already is... Her long blonde vanilla scented hair drives me crazy.. Her chocolate brown orbs are so cute that all I wanna do is cuddle up to her..When she blushes and giggles, just bring me happiness so I'm jealous when people call her nicknames.. I wish I didn't want a break that even now...

I miss her...
