Chapter 5

Laura's pov:

So I was walking home with Nathan and There was no conversation just the sound of our feet on leaves and twigs.

Nathan:how did she ahm

Laura: die?

Nathan:yea

I stopped walking and sat on the ground he sat beside me.

Laura: it was just a laugh. We went to the shop and got her to you know steal a few things, a lighter and some vodka.she agreed to it, you could tell she was scared. then we went back here to the woods and were just messing, that's when Phil said we should go up to the grill. We all went up and told Alice to climb it and she did. She was walking, well stumbling on it. She was terrified I mean like who wouldn't be? the grill is just a big shaft in the ground going hundreds of feet into the darkness. so she's walking that's eg eh someone throws a stone at her. then were all doing it were all throwing stones at her. then one hits her head

And she slips

And she falls

And she's well she's

Nathan: she's dead

Laura:yea dead

Nathan looks disgusted at me. he gets up and pulls me up

Nathan: how could you let this happen? Laura you were her friend!

Laura: I don't know

Nathan:you do know. You just wanted to suck up to Phil didn't you? You just wanted to make him happy. Well done Laura he's happy with you. But Alice is dead.does it seem worth it?

I didn't know how to answer that so I shook my head

Nathan: I'm sorry I can't be with you right now I need to think some things over.

Laura: Nathan come on please

Nathan: good bye Laura

He just walks away leaving me there.
