Lexee walks down the stairs with her hair put in her usual messy bun , wearing her favorite ripped jeans paired with her "smells like teen spirit" T-shirt. Lexee is about average height for a girl her age, 17 to be exact. She isn't like other teenage girls her age not pining after boys or obsessing over her future after high school. She considered those girls to be arid and would never confront them in school. On this bright and sunny day , she was being her usual dark and rebellious self , typical Lexee.
"bye mom" she says to her mom as she slips out the door to the sidewalk. She walked past her neighbors house in a hurry trying to avoid-
"Hey Lexee! wait up!" he says walking up behind her.
"Hey Hayes..." She mutters clutching her backpack straps.
"So how was your break, I swear I didn't see you all summer!" He exclaims as they reach the bus stop.
"It was cool. I met some cool people." She replies pushing her dark hair behind her ear.
"I can tell." He remarks while smirking and pointing to her new --To him at least--Dark hair with purple streaks.
However, before Lexee can respond with a snarky comment of her own on his dressing skills. The cheerful, charming, chestnut-haired, Chelsea makes her way to the bus stop slipping her arms around her loyal blue-eyed boyfriend's waist.
"Happy one-month" She shouts in his ears! As Hayes turns to hug her, Lexee turns away to shielding her eyes from their "too cringey to handle" relationship. Lexee didn't really refer to herself as a relationship girl. More like a cool, open-minded, down to earth, friends with benefits kind of girl.
"Hey Lex!" Jacob her current "friend" enters throwing his arm around her and sloppily kissing her cheek. During the summer, her and Jacob spent some time together, mostly raiding his parents liquor cabinet and watching 80's movies but Jacob had a good time. Even though Lexee let him know at the start that their relationship would never progress into anything serious, Jacob was still determined. He was a pretentious rich boy and used to getting what he wanted.
"Ew." Lexee says reacting to Jacob's wet kiss on her cheek.
"Oh you two are together now?" Hayes says clenching his jaw. But why would he do this? Oh yeah, because Hayes is crushing on Lexee; BIG TIME. they've been friends, next door neighbors and playmates practically since birth. Last year, Hayes told Lexee how he felt and well it didn't go as expected considering Lexee was caught up in another relationship with her now college student ex-boyfriend Matt. So the whole summer instead of hanging out like they usually do, Hayes found a new group of friends and so did Lexee. Don't get me wrong Lexee has always been a rebel but without Hayes' good judgement this summer, she went off the rails. Consequently, Hayes ended up dating Chelsea to get over Lexee but so far I don't think it's working.
"Something like that" Lexee responds smirking. Only saying this because she wanted to make Hayes jealous. See what I left out of the summer story is that Hayes and Lexee did reconnect before the end of the break. But the thing is they've been "reconnecting" since July and haven't stopped yet. So now Lexee's the "other woman" but using the word woman would make her seem mature which she is not. So I'd call her the Other girl.
