from shawnnie- meet me at the park in 10 minutes.
to shawnnie- kk.
its been 2 years since mine and hayes breakup, me and shawn have becomeeven closer. i grabbed my pennyboard and begin to head to the park.
i arrive at the park and see shawn sitting on the swings.
"hey shawn." i call out walking to him.
"chelsey.. i cant get you off my mind." he starts. "i think i might love you." he looks down and im just shocked, not knowing what to do.
"shawn-" he cut me off.
he kissed me.
it was a quick kiss, i pulled away not knowing what to do.
"im sorry.." he says looking at the ground again.
"no.. its not you.. i just cant do this to hayes..."
"he cheated on you! dont you get that i could treat you better! hes not coming back!" he began to raise his voice causing me to start crying.
"no.. im sorry." he said embracing me in a hug.
"its not you shawn... i just.. thought maybe hayes would come back for me. but maybe i was wrong.." i said.
he lifted my chin up and kissed me again. i kissed back. maybe i need to move on.
*end of flashback*
"hayes.. it was just a little summer thing. we broke it off.. it just wasnt right." i said grabbing his hand. he quickly pulled away.
"why didnt you tell me? why did you say you loved him? and that you want him?" he said standing up.
"I. DONT. KNOW. you are over reacting. i cant control my dreams! its not my fault. your getting mad at me over something that happened in a dream!" i scream.
"do you love him." he says quietly.
"hayes-"
"DO. YOU. LOVE HIM." he says again looking at me.
"yes. but hes like my brother. but you.. i love you way more than you will ever understand. i spent the last 4 years waiting for you to come back to me.. i didnt lose hope. because i knew you loved me too.. right?" i said grabbing his hand.
"im sorry... i just cant lose you this time..." he said quietly.
"you wont lose me.." i say pulling him into a hug.
"i love you." he replies.
"i love you too." i say.
we kiss and then decide to head back to the beach.
i think this summer might just be a great one.
