Your POV

I looked over to the moon, it was shining brightly and beautifully. It's been a very peaceful week, no marines, no pirates and no fighting. I appreciate it, like really. The others were dancing and partying as usual, since someone from the island we stopped generously gave us all the alcohol they had.

I chuckled at the thought before shivering at the coldness, I wrapped the blanket around me turning me into a living burrito. The mug which was once filled with hot chocolate was emptied out the moment it cold enough to the lips, maybe I should go to Thatch and ask him more...

Nah, I don't want to leave this spot.

Too comfy.

I giggled to myself before I heard someone walking behind me, I turned slightly to smile seeing Ace standing there. He was wearing a coat, I sometimes don't understand the guy. He's literally a walking fire yet he still wore the coat.

"Comfy?" he asked as I nodded, I wanted to pat at my side for him to sit but I couldn't just let my hand exposed to the coldness like that, no sir.

He chuckled before taking a seat behind me, resting my head on his chest as he sighed before wrapping his arms around my blanket fort. I smiled at the gesture before turning my head slightly, just in time for him to kiss my nose.

I giggled and sighed before turning back to the sun.

"You're not joining them? The party, I mean.."

"Nah, being here with you is better.." he replied as I laughed, yet felt the butterflies flying inside my stomach from his words. I moved a bit to keep close with him, his arms around me tightened as if I will disappear if he just loosened himself just a bit.

"Ace, what do you think will happen if we didn't meet that half-cat?"

"Then I wouldn't meet you, and all this will never happen, I feel grateful for that girl" I laughed, remembering I was chasing a half-cat half-human across my home island when she suddenly thought about stealing my food and sprinting off.

Her eyes were as dark as the night, along with her hair. I only noticed she's actually not human when I saw her hoodie was oddly raised like she had two ears or horns, it was confirmed when we turned a corner as I managed to saw the tail swishing underneath her coat.

She was an odd one, when I managed to catch up to her, she gave it to a cowboy hate wearing pirate, and gave me a small smile before sprinting off. She literally disappeared into thin air when I was about to make her explain her actions.

Long-story short, Whitebeard at the time gladly took me in when I told them I actually don't have anyone to be with. Marco became like my a brother I never had and Ace, well.

Let's just say that it's almost three years together, and thinking about families has always crossed our minds but thinking about the danger that they might endure during their childhood as a pirate frightens me a bit.

I sighed.

I felt Ace pulled me tighter as I looked over to him. My eyes widened slightly at the thing above us, I'm sure it wasn't there to begin with.

"What are you thinking?"

"N-nothing.." my eyes still glued to the mistletoe above us as Ace cocked his head and looked up, he awed at the sight before looking back at me with a smile.

"Well, it's tradition..." he said as I looked over to him before sheepishly nodded. He leaned closer to me as I pushed any bothersome blanket away and our lips locked.

"Merry Christmas..." he muttered as our forehead touches, I smiled and looked at him. Our noses touches and it was my turn to seal the lips.

"Merry Christmas..." I returned back the gesture as it was his turn to smile warmly at me, the freckles along his cheeks looked like tiny stars as we closed the distance once more.

"And one more thing..." he trailed off as he pushed himself away for a bit, what is he doing?

"What is it, Ace?" I asked as he looked over to me, panic ridden all over his eyes before he groaned and sighed in relief. I chuckled at his sudden change before I tugged the mistletoe above me, a familiar blue feather was attached to it as I shook my head.

Marco probably put it there, he is stealthy.

I got up and folded the blanket to bring back to my cabin, it was big and made folding a bit hard. Ace on the other hand was standing close to me as a personal heater. He kept on humming and looking over to me like I was doing something weird.

Is folding my blanket, weird?

"Ace, what is i-"

I was speechless when I turned around. It was Ace, kneeling down with a small heart box in his palm. His face was red from embarrassment and I could see the others peeking from the party hall. Eyes widened with excitement, some even had their recording snail with them while some shamelessly took photos about what's happening.

"I-i'm not good with speeches so I'm gonna go straight to it. (Y/N), you have made me the most happiest and luckiest man ever, you made me forget my dark past with your smile and you're so forgiving and always there when I did something stupid...so..."

"HURRY UP, WILL YOU?!" someone shouted as we both turned to see Izo fuming around, and biting his bottom lips, trembling from anticipation. I saw Ace threw a glare at him before sighing and turned back to me.

"So..will you marry me?" I wanted to speak but I feel like throwing up from all the sudden events.

"HELL YES!" I shouted and tackled him down, causing the others to roar and cheering each other, some even place money on Marco who's getting a shitty grin.

"I'M GOING TO BE A GRANPA!" the laughter grew louder after Pops declaration. I turned to Ace, who had a smile on his face before he did something stupid.

He threw the box away on accident and the ring rolled out, falls into one of the cracks on the deck sending the whole crew to gasps and shouting at each other.

(A/N: It's 2 AM here, SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!!! also, I shamelessly put myself in the story)
