Part 24: Voyage

Bridget

I shared a room with Samantha, who was the most tidy out of us girl, thank goodness. Latasha and Elisha's room was connected to ours by a door we purposely left open on our side.

"So what are we up to?" Latasha asked crossing the threshold and joining me on the bed I was stretched out on. "Don't tell me your about to go to sleep."

I said nothing to deny her assumption, I was thinking about hitting the hay.

"Aw come on its only ten o'clock," Elisha whines.

"Says the person that was asleep the entire day," Samantha defends me.

"Hey I'm a growing girl," Elisha jokes.

"And I'm the Queen of Sheba," Latasha mocks.

"So are we going out or what," Elisha asks.

"Hey, I'm up for it," Samantha voices.

"We gotta be back before 2, we've got a show tomorrow," I say sitting up from my bed.

"Do we gotta," Latasha pouted.

"Yes," Samantha, Elisha, and I said in unison.

"We might as well get to it, hurry and get dress," Elisha excitedly cheers hopping off the bed and out of the room to her own.

Road trips with my brother are now awkward. Then again it could possibly be this way now because our similarities don't stop at our date of birth and facial features. We like the same girl, he doesn't think I know but when he crushes its always obvious.

Our identical taste in the opposite sex is what's kept the car ride uncomfortably quiet at the moment. Or rather the affection we share for a certain B5 female dancer, leaves us with nothing to ramble about without feeling a sense of jealousy or disgust. This road trip was centered around her, Elisha is the only reason for the torment I'm going through with my brother.

I'm pretty sure it's just a crush phase Jason's having over Elisha durring this dry spell he's having. Besides I liked her first, I even dated her. Honestly I've loved her, it was just bad timing the first time.

He needs to get over this crush, I'll talk some sense into him, later in the trip.

Just my luck, I guess I was thinking about her too hard, my phone was ringing, it was Elisha. I debated on pulling over or getting Jason to drive while I talked to her but the road ahead was pretty deserted. I pulled my phone off the charger, "Elisha's calling," I warned my sleepy looking twin.

"What up Kitten," I nonchalantly greet her.

"Leo, darling! It's been far too long," she replies with a poshness about it.

I laugh, "it's literally only been a day."

"Well whatever, what cha up to? Are you driving, it's pretty late," she says pretty observant. I guess I need a new car if she can hear it through the phone.

"Yeah, late night food run, Jay and I were in the gym 'till late and didn't want to cook, so yeah," I come up with on the spot.

"Hey Jay," she yells in my ear attempting to be loud enough for Jason to hear her.

"Hey loudmouth," he responds way more awake than he was minutes before.

"You know you can just be like normal people and just ask me to tell him you said hi," I sarcastically inform her.
