Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas got what they wanted and people who celebrate other holidays are enjoying them. If you don't celebrate any holiday that's fine too, I hope you're enjoying the break!
This Christmas has been amazing to me so far. I got a microphone, vocal and piano lessons, fuzzy socks and lotion which is all I wanted.
My mom decided two days before today it would be a fun idea to tell me that the vocal lessons wouldn't be happening because they're too expensive, a bitch was sad.
But when I opened my presents this morning there was a card left.

Of course me being me I burst into tears immediately. It still feels so surreal that I've been accepted into their program! Vocal lessons are one on one and I'm taking a tour of the place tomorrow.
On a much sadder note I'm currently on vocal rest because my throat is being a bitch to me. I can't really blame it because I've been singing nonstop at all hours of the day and night for about a month straight. I'm not supposed to be talking right now as it does hurt but I'm powering through. It's gonna be throat lozenges, tea, lemon water and vocal rest for me for a good remainder of the vacation.
If it does get worse I will be seeing a doctor because I do love my voice and I would like to keep it as long as possible.
That's been my Christmas and I couldn't be more thankful to my parents because it was a very hard thing to give to me due to financial situations. This will come in handy when it's time for me to apply to college as Berklee College Of Music is my main choice and the stakes are high for female vocalists, but as the card says good things come to those who wait and great things come to those who really go for it.
