It was a bright Sunday morning, the day dedicated for the Roman Pagan God Sol Invictus or Solly as would Marina named him. Marina was a 22 year old lady who lived with her parents. Most people her age wandered off into the third rock from the Sun as soon as they attained their adolescence ,well, at least after their  procurement of their jobs to which they would like to be loyal to earn a living.

Coming back to our main character ,Marina, she is a fighter for that matter. She lives in a world which her parents created for her. Not that it’s bad but it’s too much of a comfort for anyone! Even God, would put his hands down and say,”Naah! That’s too boring to me.” She gets what she wants and gets to do what she wants but all in her parents supervision. Tough luck!

So,Marina decides to work in her father’s office after hours of persuasion with salary, of course because she can at least fake  that she is independent and doesn’t want to live a boring rich girl life. Marina proved herself to be useful to the firm. She interviewed job applicants and did her job as a HR.

Marina’s life did a twist  on a whole new level when she met this guy who went by the name Max.

Max works at Marina’s workplace as a janitor. Max can be met only after the sunset like the Moon. Marina had not noticed such a guy in all her life. He was pale with thick red lips and he mostly kept to himself. There an aura of tension and pain around him. Marina’s father Micheal bid him good night for the day, which was replied with a dutiful nod. Marina followed her father looking at him and almost unconsiously,Max who was minding his work looks at Marina. (This generally happens to all of us,we subconsiously want them to look at us but we cannot say it. But,others pick it and comply. That’s how this Universe works. Atleast it does work, for that matter.) When Max looked at Marina, Marina got a chill which passed through her spine. It was Max’s teeth. They were pointy at the end of the edges. No wonder he looked so pale.

He was a vampire, for Chirst sake!

Did Marina’s Dad know about this? Or too much of stress and boredom and fantasy novels causing Marina to see things that aren't actually there? Is Marina  goingcraz y?

Or is it all true? Like Max is a textbook vampire?

Marina was sleepless. She pulled down all the books she had which were consisiting on folklore, fantasy, mythology and what not! Even the deepest of the introverts dont have a solid collection as that of Marina’s. Marina spent three days on Vampires. She absolutely did not show up outside her room which was pleasent for her parents. But not until the fourth day, when she went back to office to talk with Max.

It was fifteen minutes past 6 in the evening. A tall pale man walks up into the firm and checks in with a card for work. He,then, enters a room to change his outfit to that of a janitors. He quietly does his work and proceeds further to the next floor but gets stopped by Marina.

How? Luckily her Father has a business meeting with her shareholders and this gave her the opportunity to talk to him.

“Oye! You there! Hold on,you!!”

Max turns around and he sees Marina walking towards him like a cop would towards a suspect waiting to be interrogated. Max hurries up like he wants to be not seen.

“Stop right there!”

<Classic movie line> a thought passes Max’s head and he decides to stop. Max turns towards Marina.

“Are you deaf or what? I was calling out loud, for Pete’s sake.”

“What do you want?” with an aggresive tone,Max asks.

“What are you? You don’t have normal teeth like the rest of us.”

“Yes…” in a more subtle tone.
