Third P.O.V's
She looked at him in the eye, full of tears, trying to grasp for the words that she wanted to say. The feeling was over-bearing her; all she could do is stare blankly at him. You can hear the sound of her heartbreaking being listened to upon the two of them in the small tiny room. Slowly, shattering to bits-and-bits.
"I can't do this anymore, Adalene," He whispered, almost choking, from the tears that were about to spill. Tongue-tied and twisted, his heart broke when those words left the tip of his tongue. Her world felt like it was spinning too fast-not, giving her enough to process things; it felt so unreal. All she could do is laugh, not knowing what she was going to say next, the poor girl was in denial of what she heard. "We must go on our separate ways." He said once more.
From the moment those words that left from those pink lips of his repeated through her head, like a broken record, echoing through her trail of thoughts. Never seems to come to the end of what he said to her. Silence fell upon them; all she could do was give a smile to him, the person who she thought was her whole world and now going to be a mere stranger once again. It gutted him, seeing her like this; he knew for sure that he had broken her-the person that promised he wouldn't hurt yet somehow destroyed her. But, he couldn't lie to himself anymore that he was happy, especially to her. His heart was full of love, but he can no longer see himself being with her.
"Before you leave, please tell me one last thing, Scott," Adalaine said. Her eyes fixated to the tiles, covered with tears. Her vision became a blur, she repeatedly wipes her tears that streamed down her face with the end of her sweater, but her tears came like a river flow. He looked deeply into those ash-grey eyes of hers one last time, "Anything." Scott said, taking a big deep breath and preparing for the worst that she might beg him to stay and try their relationship one last time.
Adalaine body trembles as those words that were about to leave her mouth, "Tell me one more time that you love me, and I'll go on with my life, forever." She said.
Shocked at the request that she made. But as Scott looked at her eyes, he knew that she was going to need it. As much it broke him to say it, but he couldn't leave without saying it one last time. His voice cracked, trying to find those three words that she wanted to hear one last time. As those words crept among his tongue, it slipped, "I love you." He said the last time.
But it didn't feel the same anymore; her whole world was leaving her. She looked down the floor, at the reflection of her; tears are streaming down her cheeks. Her eyes couldn't dare to meet his; she didn't want to remember those piercing blue eyes that she'll miss. The sound of footsteps echoed through the apartment as the sound of the door, closing followed, he was gone.
No matter how much she wanted to chase him down, stop him from leaving, but she couldn't. She didn't have the strength to get up from the couch. A part of him didn't want to go, he looked one more time at the apartment that held so many memories. He can't help to feel destroyed, a part of him wanted her to chase him, stop him from leaving, and tell him that everything was just a misunderstanding. As he reached his car, he knew she wasn't going to chase him. He looked once more back at the apartment to say goodbye once more. Soon as his engine started, he was long gone and never seen again. When the car was long gone to the distance where you can no longer see the road, that's when Adalaine knew from her heart; she longer possesses that heart of gold of his.
That was the start of how everything changed for both of them.
