Third person POV

It was a normal school day, unless you count the part where Marinette was going to confess to Adrien. So she put on a random dress and walked out the door.

"Bye Mama, Papa!"

"Bye sweetie."

Marinette's POV

"Are you sure that you want to do this?" Alya asked.

"Yes, no, I don't know!" I said, trying not to sound too nervous, and horribly failing.

I had just recently been able to work up the courage to talk to Adrien normally, but no way could I confess my love for him.

"I'm sure you'll be fine girl."

Alya sounded sympathetic, she was my best friend after all.

"I just don't know if I'm ready."

TIME SKIP

Third person POV

Alya couldn't wait one more second. School had just gotten out and she wanted to see Marinette confess to Adrien.

"I'm not ready!"

Alya was pushing Marinette towards Adrien and Marinette was desperately trying to escape Alya's grasp.

" You got this, girl! Now just go up to him and tell hiiiiimmmm."

'Okay, phew, you got this, You can do this, you are ladybug after all.'

Marinette kept telling herself. Marinette walked right up to Adrien.

"A-Adrien, I-I, I really l-l-like you!"

Marinette had finally done it. She hoped Adrien liked her. But Adrien's reaction told a different story.

"I'm sorry Marinette, but I can't return your feelings. We can still be friends though."

Marinette stood there, as she felt her heart shatter into a million pieces.

"O-oh, I-I'm sorry for troubling you."

"Marinette wait!"

But Marinette has already ran off, completely in tears. Marinette ran and ran until she got home. She raced past her parents and went straight up to her room and locked the hatch. Marinette ripped all of the Adrien posters off of the wall and threw them into her trash can. Tikki tried to comfort her,

"Honey, please open the hatch."

"Oh Marinette, please don't be sad."

"It's okay"

Marinette said muffled by her tears.

" I could see the rejection from a mile away."

Tikki felt really bad for Marinette, for the fact that the love of her life rejected her. She hated to see Marinette cry like this. Tikki tried to cheer her up by talking about past ladybugs and their past accomplishments, but even that didn't work. But that's when a familiar knock was heard on her window.
