MiraBeth's Adventure

Prologue

   Lying before me scene painted in green. I could see my city glowing majestically with its vibrant lights. A smile crept in my lips as I saw it's glory before my eyes. The sun was lying low which cast it's heavenly color that starts from red orange to light ones against the blue sky. 

   I sat comfortably on the tree trunk my feet hanging on the air as I savored the sight I'm seeing. Who would have thought that an isolated island far away from cities would turn out to be a booming one in the middle of the mountain.

  I was in the middle of fantasying state when a soldier appeared before me. "What's with the troubled face Luke?" I asked while smiling as I landed in front of him. "Mira! The city!"  He replied nearly shouting. "What about the city?" I asked. "You should come at once. The city is in danger!" He said and dragged me down the hill.

   As we entered the gates the people were in chaos as the soldiers tried its best to calm them and go straight to there solitary houses.  "What in the world is happening?" I muttered and rushed straight to the largest building which was located in the center of the city. I went inside and pressed my thumb against the scanner and rushed like a flash to where my father is.

  He was busy giving orders sweat trickling down his face. He saw me standing in his side and gave me a hug and whispered "Be ready MiraBeth. A war is coming" he said and resumed to his job. "It's Mira," I shot back. He looked upon me and said "that doesn't matter go help the soldiers and make sure to secure your life" I nodded. Just when I was about to go he added "MiraBeth keep this when worst come to worst it'll help you. Go escape and ask help to the upper ones when that happens" as he handed me an usb which then I wore as a nacklace. "Now go!" He ordered with sepreme authority. 

Just when I went out a loud boom shook the earth that sent debris flying to the air. I intrinsically covered my face and rushed to where Luke was...surrounded by unwanted native soldiers. Another U.F.S. (unwanted foreign soldier) blocked my way and started attacking me by sword. "Mamylu" I muttered and ran to the nearest house to get a sword which was by coincidence Lola's (lowla) house.

I saw her defending herself against a scrawny but hella strong U.F.S. judging by the blows he was sending. "I took whatever weapon near me which was a knife use for cooking. (Yes I'm in the kitchen) and stabbed him near the neck three times in a second which brutally ended his life.

  "Lola give me a spare sword" I told her. "Go to my bedroom and open the third cabinet colored white you'll get a lot their" she said while smiling weakly. "Thanks and please.... be careful" I added then walked to where her bedroom is. I got a sword and a pocket knife matched with a gun just to be sure.

I ran to look for Luke and saw him standing infront of a lifeless bodies not a single scratch. Expected from him anyway. He saw me and I went to his side. He studied my face for three seconds and said "Mira--"  "a surprise attack? " I finished for him. "Yes" he said. "They've surrounded the city" he added.  "No time for chichats Luke lets defend the city!" I said determined as we parted ways.

At that time I never knew that it was my last taste of independence for in just a few hours the city has been destroyed. I stood and beheld the tragic fate as I saw houses being burned and bodies scattered like a road to hell. I felt tears run down my tainted cheeks.

"You know what, its not good to show your vulnerable in the middle of the war" my heart raced as I turned to look at the man with a strong built standing behind me. "Who are you?" I asked not minding to wipe my tears. "I'm your knight in shining armor. Well that's at least the opposite" he replied amusement painted in his eyes.

  "I enjoyed slaying your loved one named Lola?" He said while walking slowly towards me. I couldn't speak as anger pulsed inside me. My veiw went darker as I looked in him.  "Oh don't give me that look MiraaBethie" he said with a smile which completely pissed me off as I recognized who he was. (Please lend me your strength. I asked.  Idiot you could have ran away.
Shut up just lend me your strength.  Fine.)  I looked intently into his eyes and smiled. "It's Mira and please be prepared to die. I do not wish my dear prey to be in shock"

  "My what change!" he said laughing while defending himself from my offensive blow. It took me seven minutes to finish his life. "Game Over" and slashed his throat with my sword. I stood straight and was about to go when a deep manly voice flooded my eardrums.

"Father?!" I looked up and saw a young man around  twenties.  He looked at me panting heavily. He had a strong built like his father which I recently killed since he just said father to the dead body lying before him. A face gifted by God is what I can say.

  He stood straight "You killed him" he said lamely.  "I enjoyed killing him. It's sad to say he is a little weak for he died battling with me" I said teasingly with a smile. "Weakling huh?" He said as he got his gun and shot my upper right leg near my hip which took me aback. Pain shot throughout  as my sight began swirling along my knees falling to the ground. He knelt before me and raised my chin. I could see his teary eyes despite my swirling vision. "Now whose weak?" He asked before my consciousness slipped. Black is all I could see. Swear I'll get even with you soon...
