"For fuck sake can people clean up after their own goddamn animals! It's not that hard!" my dad's harsh yell wakes me up from the first good sleep I've had in this new house. I roll my eyes and sigh, I guess I'll have to go clean up after the dogs even though I know for a fact it was Bailey, my brothers dog, that did it. I make my way down the millions of stairs to be surprised by my brother actually taking responsibility and cleaning up after his own dog.
"don't get used to it," he simply states before making his way back to his room to blast hideous tunes. I'm so glad my dad got the rooms sound proofed. This house is way to big for the four of us and so "mum" made a joke about making more as soon as we got here, she makes me sick. She's only with my dad for the money and she always pressurises me into being girly and I always flat out refuse. I roll my eyes and decide I should probably scope out the area, I grab my jacket and my Alsatian, Khans, lead – it gives me an excuse to be walking around the neighbourhood if anyone sees.
"KHANN" I yell and am met by a happy Alsatian running at me, with his tongue hanging out his mouth and his strides uneven and bouncy he was just as eager as me to explore the new place. I slip the lead onto his collar and set off being dragged by my oversized doggo. Anyone watching would think I was seriously out doged by Khan but in all honesty, he's a softie. I wander in the direction I know my new school is and just look for anything that may spark my interest, upon seeing a gym I get excited. The thing is this gym isn't just any old gym, this gym is a street fighting gym. You can tell because all street fighting gyms have a specific emblem within their name. I tie Khan to a post outside and go in and up to the desk, where a guy around 25 stood smoking .
"I'd like to move my membership over please." I state bluntly, the thing here is to be intimidating and they won't question it. He looks at me sceptically but reaches out his hand, I silently pass him my membership card that states my street name and my reference number that is linked to all my fights. He seems a little taken back and seems to double check that I gave him the right card.
"that's fine, the gyms open 24/7 with fights on between 9pm and 1 am. I must warn you the Black Vipers use this gym and for a pretty girl like you that can be dangerous, although with your track record I think you'll be okay. I'm Darrius by the way," he rambles and I don't really pay attention he hands me back my card and I fumble to get it back into between my phone and phone case.
"Skylar but just call me sky, anyway I gotta go my dogs outside he's a little impatient" I comment before going to leave.
"oh, for future reference dogs are allowed in the gym as long as they are none aggressive and kept on a lead near the equipment you are using or kept in the dressing room whilst you are fighting." He smiles at me.
"that's fucking dope! Khans a good dog , he'll enjoy coming with." I smile but continue to leave "I'll see you later!"
I decide that that'll do for adventuring and start my way back to the house, Khan seemed on edge which meant I started analysing my surroundings. For fuck sake I took a wrong turn I hate new towns. I chuckle to myself before turning around, I'm surprised by 3 figures stood blocking my way. How didn't I realise they were behind me? Khan crouched and started to growl at the three figures but was soon shut up by three growls from the other direction.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing around here?" a husky voice asks tauntingly.
"I'm going home, now if you'll excuse me." I state and go to step forward but the three match me and also step towards me. They were now close enough for me to see, I'm not going to lie they were all extremely fit and they had the bad boy aura that legit makes me weak at the knees but in this situation, I was not attracted to them.
"you're not going anywhere kitten, not yet." Another lustful voice echoes in the small alley.
"As much as that seems appealing, I'll pass" I sneer whilst putting my hair up into a ponytail. "Now are you gonna move out the way or do I need to beat your arses." I'd kind of forgotten about Khan and a pull on the lead showed me that him and the other dogs were getting on. Stupid dogs.
A chorus of laughs emit from the lads and as a result I go into a fighting stance. They seem to find it a joke as I stalk towards them and legit just take out my anger on them. Stupid twats, taking advantage of girls like no. As soon as all three are on the floor I walk past turning around and yelling
"maybe if you weren't cunts, we'd end up as friends," I decide to run home for some stamina training and for the fact I generally need to release some anger after that. Khan happily runs next to me and we are home in next to no time.
