~why the moon shines~
Chapter one-
Michael was a 17 year old boy who still lived with his parents. He wasn't very abnormal he still went to school like everyone else. his eyes opened from his loud sounding alarm clock. he was shocked by the sound because it had awaken him from his long slumber from thursday night to 6:14 a.m. Michael snoozed his alarm and continued to walk toward on-suite where he cam across his mirror. Michael had porcelain skin, his body was toned, he was about 6 feet tall and he had short, soft, brown hair. He grabbed a towel and placed it next to the shower where he started the water. Michael stripped out of his clothes and stepped one foot in to the shower until his cellphone rang. He saw it was his girlfriend Jennifer calling.
He answered "Hey Jen whats up?"
"We need to talk Mikey." she sighed
"about what babe?"
"well i think its time we see other people, summers coming and i feel that if we keep things going we wont last"
he stuttered "w-what?"
"goodbye..." she hung up the phone
Michael held the phone to his ear after he hung up. He was staring at nothing until he finally snapped out of it and started to cry. He walked like a zombie into his bathroom and hit sat in his shower. Barley moving, he started to wash himself. His mom entered his room."Mike baby hurry up or you'll be late for school, its 6:38"
"Okay." He shouted back trying to hide his shaky voice.
His mom left his room and shut his door behind her. He got out of his shower shortly and dried himself. He slowly dressed himself trying to hold back the sounds of his sulking. He wiped his face, rubbed his hair with the towel and went down stairs, sliding his shirt over his firm body, to his dad sitting at the table drinking his morning coffee. His father was slightly taller than Michael, he wore thin framed glasses and his hair was brushed back and had started to turn gray. He turned around to see his mother preparing his lunch for the day on the kitchen island. His mother was fairly short, her hair was golden and shined in the light, she had blue eyes. Michaels parents were both thin and fit, but Michael took after his father mostly. Neither of Michael's parents noticed him for a short period of time, he tried to hide his face. Michaels mom, Stacy, handed him his lunch and noticed his face.
"Whats wrong sweetie?" His mother bought to attention. His father , John, lowered the newspaper from his face and looked at Michael.
"Yeah, whats wrong Michael?"
Michael tried to make up an excuse fast and he shouted an stuttered.
"C-college"
"College ?" Both his parents said at the same time.
His mom chimed "You sure?"
"Yeah-" he was cut off by the sound of honking from his bus.
He scrambled "Well gotta run!"
He kissed his mom on the cheek and hugged his dad and ran out of the door still holding his lunch and his book bag. He stepped onto the bus to see Jennifer. She looked at him and continued to talk to her friends while Michael sat in his seat in the second row. Jennifer was only on the bus because she stayed her grandmothers house who lived right down the road from Michael. He listened to his music and looked out of the window thinking to himself how could she not be upset she looks pretty happy. The school wasn't that far from the bus stop. The bus stopped at the school about 10 minutes later. Michael got off after the 5 people i front of him and he started walking to homeroom. His homeroom teacher got a phone call and the loud chatter simmered down.
"Hello... Yes.. Ok... I'll send him down." Michael wasn't paying attention until the teacher shouted "Michael! Go to the office your getting a new schedule."
"Thank you Mrs. Anderson."
He walked down the hallway to the office were the lady sat with the paper ready for Michael. She handed him the paper and he glanced at his new schedule. He realized that he had no more classes with Jennifer which was good, for his emotions at least. Michael plugged into his music and started walking to his first class, the bell rang. Michael did good in school for the most part, he never had to worry about good grades ad keeping them up because he never really needed to, he never played sports or anything. He arrived to his class and slid into his alway slowly still listening to his music. He wasn't shy but he was. Michael never really wanted to talk to anybody but he would talk if someone talked to him first. He looked at his schedule again

He was happy with his new schedule because of all of his arrangements for study halls. A boy approached Michael, he was about 5ft 8inches tall, he had short blonde hair, brown eyes, glasses, and he was about 16 years old.
"Hi i'm Benjamin but you can call me Ben" he smiled.
Michael looked up at him and smiled back "Hi Ben I'm Michael, i think I've seen you around before. Nice to meet you"
"The pleasures all mine, Michael."
"I just got my schedule switched to all new classes I'm kinda excited about it."
"Mind if i see?"
"Go ahead"
Ben looked at his schedule then smirked. " well i think we have a lot of classes together except gym and lunch but that's ok i hope we can become close friends Michael"
Michael smiled and blushed as Ben went back to his seat. There was something about Benjamin that made Michael feel different. The bell rang.
