If you love someone let them go.
I'd heard it a million times before, who hasn't. It's the age old tale of self sacrifice so the ones you love may be happy.
I call bullshit.
Keeping away is in no way conducive to helping anyone forget who they love. You can't just forget someone you love. And I mean love love, not the love we carelessly toss around.
The settle themselves into your bones and they run through your veins. The're tattooed onto your mind and they're what you breathe, damn oxygen to hell. When you love someone, they weave themselves into you and the only way to get rid of them is to tear them out. Painfully. And even then we don't forget.
We never forget. The pain doesn't let us.

PoetryA bunch of old short stories and sort of but not really poems and random thoughts I've written down. Mostly at early morning hours when I really should be sleeping instead of thinking about a billion things. They're not all in chronological order.
