"What the actual f-" Thalia cut Leo off with a sword to his throat. "...I was going to say figg. What the figg." He grinned at the spikyhaired girl and pushed her sword away with one of his fingers.

"But seriously moon queen." He turned towards Artemis with a stern look. "Keeping a girl away from humanity? That's cruel, dude." Thalia growled at him, Leo swallowed and changed the last word to dudette.

Artemis had told him the whole story and in all honesty, she had not expected anything else from his reaction. He was angry at her for keeping Aysel away from a normal life, but understood her decision after what happened with the werewolf.

"Has she swore the oath?" He asked after a moment of silence. Artemis shook her head.

"No, that is her decision to make", she put her feelings away, "and she is yet too young." Leo nodded, and looked over at Tyson swiftly.

"You'll have to let her have a chance at life." He said and scratched his chin. He turned over to the moon-goddess. "And if I'm going to keep this a secret, you'll have to let her out at 15." Artemis looked outraged at the man before her.

"15? That's way to early! I've decided on 19." Leo shook his head and laughed.

"She needs to make her own choices, we agree," he gestured for some of the hunters in the area, "how can she if this is all she knows?"

Artemis was trying to swallow her pride. Somewhere deep down, she knew he was right. Pushing a full grown adult into an unknown world could be dangerous. And in a way it would not be her choice if she had already made up her mind by the time she saw the alternative.

"This is not your choice, Valdez." Thalia muttered, growling at the ground. "She needs to be prepared for the dangers." She kicked a rock by her shoe, it hit the tent softly.

"16." The stone had stopped by Aysel's foot, who was standing in the tent opening. Both arguing parts realized that the decision was made.

"16", Artemis repeated, nodding to her daughter in everything but blood, "Keep your end of the deal, son of Hephaestus, or it will be your blood coating my arrows."

"Mom", Aysel whispered, for some reason feeling a little uneasy at the mention of violence.

"My mouth is shut." Leo turned to Aysel, crouching down to her level. "Lets hope I live to see you again?" Aysel nodded enthusiastically, suddenly feeling a bit of excitement for the next chapter of her life.

"Give him your blessing, mom." Artemis froze at the suggestion, fixing Aysel with her surprised stare.

"What?" Leo muttered, head snapping towards Thalia who in turn shrugged.

"Give it to him." Aysel demanded, stomping her foot heavily to the ground, sounding perhaps the most like a five year old she was for the first time since Leo had met her.

"In return of protecting my child, I will give you a blessing of the moon." Leo closed his eyes, shoulders hunching up while waiting for what he deemed would be a terrible punishment.  An immortals idea of a blessing, was after all very different from that of a mortal. "You shall not die before she returns."

The tension slipped from his shoulders, and Leo looked up at the goddess with a slight expression of awe.

"Does that mean I won't suffer any fatal and very hurtful wounds?" he uttered, hopefully. Aysel let out a laughter like clinking bells.

"Don't push your luck Leonidas", Thalia growled, shoving past him. Leo was left stuttering, wondering how in the world she had gotten hold of his full name.
