Sorry if my story is a mess. But let's take a bit to talk about me. I'm a werewolf. I don't turn into a wolf but I have a wolf next to me at all times. Her name is Cristella and she's pretty similar to me. One difference I'm a little jealous of is that her mother actually did want her. Wolves don't give up their cubs, ever. But, humans do. My mother was also a sobering up alcoholic, and she had a lot of problems. I'm actually a God Wolf. I am both a warrior and healer, for now. Once I meet and accept my mate, them accepting me, as well, I must give one of the powers to them. Either I make them the healer and me the warrior or them the warrior and me the healer. But I'll never meet my mate. I'm only a target for bullies. I can't afford to ever use my emotions again. I love baseball. I'm better at basketball and enjoy it more, though.
And when I was talking about Cristella, here's how it works. Only three people can see your wolf. Primarily you because it's your wolf. Your biological mother because she gave birth to you. An adopted mother can't see your wolf because she didn't give birth to you. All wolves can see each other. And the last person that can see your wolf is your mate once you've accepted each other. Only your wolf can feel and sense your mate. The way you can tell your wolf found your mate is that their front paws glow and they start to howl. And then they'll tell you it's him/her. The way wolves work here is that they're kinda like a spirit wolf.
Anyways back to me. I have long, black hair, and skin whiter than the snow. People who are nice enough say that my hair is beautiful, but I don't believe them. They're probably lying, too. I now know why people bully me. It's because of my skin with my hair. I have three older siblings. The oldest one is my first big brother, his name is Jake. The seconde oldest is my big sister, her name is Sara. The third oldest is my seconde oldest brother, his name is Cole. And so nowadays, I take my scissors and cut my cheeks and wrists until I can see and feel blood going down my arms and face.
Sometimes, when I make sure my parents or siblings see me, they'll hit me or scream at me. Other than that, they also pretend I don't exist. Well, my siblings do bully me a lot at school, too, but usually not on their own. Only when they're with their friends. That's about the most attention I get. I do go off into the forest a lot, but only to find myself food. I am self-taught in the art of hunting. I really abuse the use of free computers at school. I study the best way to kill, and the librarians don't pay me any mind. They ignore me, too. I'm free to skip any classes. The teachers don't call my name in roll-call, although most just scan the seats and write it down. I'm only in school because I have to be. It is a law in the village that all children must attend their first 12 grades of school, and they must go to pre-school and kindergarten. So, in order to not be arrested (again), my mother had to enroll me. But I have to buy my own supplies, so I only get what I must. My friends used to buy extra stuff for me, telling their parents that they needed more than they actually did. But the rumors reached them, too, and they didn't trust me enough. See, I used to confess what my mother would do to me. But I'm not really a crier, so I didn't convince them. They didn't believe me. So when they would ask how everything was, I would just say 'Good', even though it wasn't true. They always said I was lying. One day, I snapped back at them. I remember it clear as day, and it hurts me to this day, but not as much. Nothing can hurt me as much as it used to.
*Flashback*
"Hey! How have you been? Sorry we were gone for a week." She said, smiling.
"Everything's been great, per usual," I say, faking my smile in a reply. She sighs.
"You say that every time. I can tell by the way you look and sound that it's not true. You need to stop lying, Cristal." She says, looking concerned. "What's the matter?"
"Nothing. You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
"Yes, I would! I'm your friend! Why wouldn't I?"
"Because you didn't the first time. You called me a liar, a trouble-maker."
"I would never!"
"Well, you did."
"Tell me. I promise I wouldn't call you a liar. Nothing can be that bad."
"I don't believe you."
"Why?!"
"Because it is that bad."
"Well, what is it?" She was stern, and a little angry.
"My mother ignores me. Everyone ignores me. Except you. And the bullies."
"Your mother doesn't ignore you! She loves you, but she's always busy!"
"No, she ignores me. You know why I am so thin? Because I have to hunt for my own food, and lots of times, I don't much if I get anything at all. She doesn't make me food. My siblings punch me and slap me at school, and at home, they pretend I don't exist. They only time I'm noticed is if I do something they can't ignore. Then they hit me for it. I'm only in school so my alcoholic mother doesn't go to jail, again. She didn't like her first four years for drunk driving. She only got out that early because my dad was going to work there, and they were mates, so he bailed her out with money." I spill out. I'm yelling the entire time.
"I talk to your mom! She's so nice, and says that she's concerned for you! She says you hardly eat your dinner, saying your full. She loves you, and so do your siblings. Your mom hates alcohol and always has. You are such a liar! Where did you even come up with this insane story?!" She yelled. I turned around and looked at her. "I can't believe you make all that crazy stuff up. Your parents met on a vacation and came back here together. I'll meet you here tomorrow." She then turned around, disgust written on her face, and stomped off.*Present Time*
I cried myself to sleep that night. The next day, I was a little late getting to the willow we met at 6pm. Instead of seeing my friend, I saw a note nailed to the tree. One of her sisters was big with the rumors, and I'm assuming she told her something, too.
