Chapter 13: Social Slam Awards

Aria's POV:

Jacob is nominated for 'The Next Big Artist' at the social slam awards tonight, and best personality. He's performing his new song Secrets and it's my favorite song he's ever written. The awards are here in L.A and the venue is really nice. I was at the hotel because before the event Jacob was meeting fans. Then I heard my phone buzz, I figured it was Jacob he was gonna pick me up when the m&g was over.

"Hey baby" he said into the phone. "Hey, what's up?" I said smiling like he could actually see. "I'm on my way to pick you up, ready?" he asked me. "Not even close" I said laughing. "ARIA!" he says freaking out. "I told you to be ready, if i get there and you aren't I'll leave" he shouted. "I'm sorry I'll be ready, love you" I said hanging up fast.

When Jacob got to the hotel I was indeed not ready yet. I didn't even have my dress on nor my shoes. My dress was beautiful it was a mermaid dress and it was black and shimmery. I couldn't believe Jacob picked this out for me. The award show it self made me nervous I didn't like being around photographers nor a bunch of people I didn't know. But I had Jacob by my side and I'd be okay.

Jacob's POV:

When I got to the hotel to pick Aria up after the meet and greet I was waiting for Aria for about a half hour which upset me because she promised she'd be ready. When she came down in the elevator she walked out and I was captivated by how gorgeous she looked. Her dress was even more beautiful on her than I expected it to be. It shimmered and match her sparkling green eyes. She looked amazing. When we made eye contact she smiled really hard at me.

Aria ran to me with arms wide open and she hugged me and kissed me hard. "love you" she said still hugging me. "Love my princess more, you look stunning" I said grabbing her waist and walking. "excited for tonight?" she said smiling. "Nervous, but excited you'll make sure I'm fine" she said.

When one of the photographers approached us she got more nervous. "Jacob is that your girlfriend? she's beautiful" i heard him say. I kissed Ari'as cheek. "They like you" i said to her. When I kissed her they went crazy with pictures and Aria smiled the whole time. I wasn't afraid to show her off to anyone and she was one of the best things that happened to me. 

Aria's POV:

We were at our seats now and it was the fourth row. It was weird for me to be around so many celebrities. When cameras flashed I would grab Jacob's arm and it annoyed him a little. But I did get comfortable eventually. It was nice to know that Jacob showed me off without a problem he was very affectionate.

When they announced that he won best new artist he was shocked and he kept repeating thank you. He pulled me on stage with him and he hugged me and kissed me. At first I didn't know what was happening I was so shocked. He pulled my arm and talked to me. "come on stage baby" he spoke. I was scared because that meant everyone would see me on stage the whole crowd. "I don't wanna" I said as he pulled me with him walking to the stage. 

I smiled and looked at Jacob as if I were mesmerized by him and his speech. "I just wanna say that I never expected this to happen to me, not just the award I mean actually becoming an artist I wanna thank my mom first of all for always believing in me, my manager of course and last but not the least my amazing fans they've done so much for me they're all so beautiful and they do a lot for me thank you for everyone who's made it happen. I wanna thank Aria my girlfriend as well couldn't forget about her she supports me too."

After Jacob made his speech he kissed my cheek and then he was handed his award. "love you" I whispered and we walked off stage. After his award he was sent backstage to prepare for his performance. I was left in my seats and Shawn was sitting next to me. Shawn noticed that I was singing with Jacob and he laughed hysterically at me. I was dancing like a crazy woman.

When he finished singing we got to watch the rest of the award show together. "You did more than amazing" I said to him holding his and squeezing it. "Thanks babe couldn't do it without you and I noticed you're singing" he smiled. After the show we went backstage and I stayed close to Shawn because Jacob was talking to people I didn't know. I was staring at him and I saw something that made me angry. A girl kissed him on the cheek.

Jacob saw the anger in my eyes so he motioned for me to come over. "Aria it's fine this.."I cut him off. "Not okay" I said. "Chill out this is Bea she's my friend for awhile." he said trying to smile. "Hi" I spat out and gave her a small wave.

Bea smiled at me "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset" "Okay" I said kinda rude. I don't care if they were friends nor that she didn't mean to made me upset. He's my boyfriend and his friends didn't need to kiss his cheek. After we left backstage to go to the hotel Jacob wasn't talking to me much. 

"Why did you act like that?" he says breaking the silence. "Like what?" I snapped back."You were rude to Bea"he says. "shouldn't have kissed your cheek, maybe she should find her own boyfriend" I said snotty. "shes one of my closest friends plus you're the only girl for me" He says trying to smile. "love you" i said blankly.
