Chapter 20
"Trouble in paradise?" this was none other than our self-imposed wingman; okay corrections wing woman Pari.
As if there was any paradise in first case!
"You know Sia" I played along though I didn't knew if Sia wanted us to continue with this pretended relationship "she gets really stubborn sometimes."
"I also know you are pretty persistent all the times." Angie pressed my hand with her left one, her right one busy sipping the yucky sugarless green tea she'd ordered for herself.
Luckily I placed the order before she arrived
So hallelujah! I am having a double cream cold coffee with extra dose of chocolate ice cream.
I did not miss the disappointed eyebrow race when I received the order from the waiter.
I am also sure she is going to make sure that we do not end up our next meeting in the same cafeteria or she'd arrive earlier than me.
So it's a win –win.
Yea! I am a born genius.
I raised my eyebrow at her verdict "is it a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked sipping another noisy blurp of my cold drink "I mean being persistent."
"SANDY I MEant" she quickly amended her raised voice "I have known you since long and I know you value relationships far more than you show. Hell! You even graciously put up with Genelia kind of girl."
"You knew?" I asked almost hurting my upper arch of the mouth with the straw "you knew about Genelia. What? When? How?"
'Ho! Ho!" she laughed like a Santa "hold your horses. I never said or mentioned that I knew how difficult she was to put up with. I realized long back that you deserved much better than her that you two weren't meant to be." She giggled at one of the past memories "Especially when she went all-bonkers on your accidently bumping into our batch mate Maria who immediately started flirting with you. The fire emanating from Genelia's eyes, I swear if Maria would have continued her series of our college memories and how you used to compliment her or any other girl any longer we'd have seen fumes whistling out of her ears"
"Yeah her jealousy gave me tough time." I tried to tone down the insults Angie was throwing towards Genelia.
Though we had a bitter ending to our relationship but still I am not the kind of person who'd look back and hunt out negatives of a person I had relationship with.
Yeah I am naïve.
Deal with it.
Waving her hand Angie continued, "you are being your modest self. How can you forget the tantrum she put of accidently the hook opening of her bikini when we went for a holiday together? I guess everybody had noticed that she did it on purpose except you."
"I too noticed," I defended myself "I am not that a daydreamer. Its just that I thought what would follow up next if I pretended naïve would be far more interesting."
She laughed heartily again "too bad your dreams were thrashed as she made you watch the marathon of princess dairies. Poor Sandy." She teased.
"Okay okay" I said imitating as if it didn't matter "Now she's gone. So why bother?"
"I am not bothering." Angie looked into my eyes looking out for the truth "I know falling in love with someone so early is not possible."
"Angie; Me and Sia are different" I tried to convince our non-existent love but she stopped me "I know Sandy love takes time and there are people who do mention about first love an all but then they might have not heard about infatuation and crush."
