Chapter 5 ~EDITED

The title is "Huling Sayaw", meaning Last Dance in english.

Chapter 5: I couldn't be mad at you, ever.

Nicolai's POV

"What was that about?" I asked Max and he just shrugged and continued eating his pizza.

We ate our  lunch in silence until Vince came.

"Hey guys. I just saw Axel and the girls going to the library." He said as he sat across from me.

"Why did they go there??  Unless they had to talk about something serious." I said as I analyzed everything. And headed to the direction of the library and the guys right behind me.

Then I knew that Axel and Angel wanted to talk to Madds about leaving for a year and she never told anyone why.

As I was about to enter the library Max and Vince blocked the door.

"Nic, leave them alone for a while alright." He said well more like commanded me.

"Yeah for once I agree with this moron and besides I think they're just talking about you." Max said.

"Why would they be talking about me?" I asked surprised by their statement.

"Well... uhm...  Angel... she and Axel told me that ... that..." Max seemed nervous and I looked at Vince and he had the same expressions; nervousness, hesitation and sympathy.

I couldn't take the suspense any longer. So I asked...

"What did they say about me that concerned Maddy?"

I was a bit hurt that Axel, my own baby sister, told them and not me, her big brother. Nah, I'm not that kind of brother. Sure I'm just upset that she told these morons something I didn't know about. In fact our relationship is more like friends than siblings.

"Well , uhm ... they... they think that uh..." Vince stuttered as he looked down at the floor.

So I turned to Max for him to continue.

"They think that the reason Maddy left was because of you. They really believed that you played with her and her emotions. You can't blame them. You did initially wanted to just play with her." He whispered to me.

At first I was shocked that they would think that I would play with her emotions after I completely made a fool of myself in front of everybody in sophomore year. I'm not that kind of guy... anymore.

----------------Flashback------------------

"Madelyn Roberts!" I shouted across the cafeteria

Then I saw her, Axel, and Angel seated at the very corner of the room.

"You want to know if I'm serious about this. Then hear me out. I, Nicolai James Wilson, am in love with you, Madelyn Roberts!" I was standing on the popular table when I said that. Everyone stared at me and thought I was crazy and delusional to say that I was in love with a girl like her. "So do you believe me now?"

I walked to their table and pulled her up so we were side by side. Then she turned so we were face to face and stood on her toes to whisper in my ear.

"I believe you, but if I die due to all the threats of you fan girls, I swear I will never let you sleep." She said with a smile.

I whispered back, "I won't ever let that happen." And I hugged her.

After that incident I was banned from the "popular" table for "falling" for the no body.

"That's ridiculous, plus I know she went home in the Philippines so I don't think she went there to only try to get over me. I mean come on, we both know Maddy is a forgiving person. She'd never be the one to run and hide." I said to the guys but they just shrugged at me.
