The day was coming to an end and I had things to do tomorrow, so I jumped into bed with a loud creak. It took me a while to finally fall asleep but when I did I drifted to a place of happiness. I was in a new place with boxes all around the floor some unpacked and others were only half unpacked. I was working on putting some clothes into a dresser from a box beside me when the girl I painted walked up beside me and pecked me on the cheek. She held onto my arm and looked at me. "what?" I asked her, chuckling. she just smiled and the dream ended as I shot up in bed with a loud creak.
what the hell woke me up! I thought to myself, then I heard it again. A loud thump coming from the center of the room. The room was to dark for me to see where the noise was coming from so I slowly got out of the bed, trying not to make a sound (which I failed at by the way). when I was fully out of bed, I sprinted for the light and flicked it on. My eyes flickered around the room when thy landed on the isle. I jumped back quickly, the girl was close to me, like she was looking in the apartment through a window. Her eyes met mine and she jumped back but looked curious at the same time. She stepped back up to the isle and motioned for me to come closer, so I did, slowly.
When I finally got to her she poked her side of the canvas and it jiggled, like jello. She poked it again and giggled, like she wanted me to poke it. I took the chance and put my hand on the canvas and it fell through to her side. Of course it startled me for a second but then I looked at my hand. It was animated, like the art style I drew her in. I bent my fingers and rotated my hand until I felt warmth on my hand, it was her pushing my hand out of the canvas. I took my hand out quickly and looked at her, confused. She giggled cutely and slowly put her hand up to the canvas wall. She pushed her
hand through and it came out humanlike. I guess I did something weird with my face because she started laughing, I laughed with her shortly.
She pushed the rest of her arm through and quickly, unexpectedly, jumped out at me and landed in my arms. I held her tightly as she laughed into my chest. This has to be a dream, this can't be real... I thought, but it felt so real. She looked up at me with those big, blue eyes and I could have swore I peed a little bit, but I didn't, thankfully. "Are you real?" I asked her and she just shrugged her shoulders. She smelled like fresh paint and her skin felt like ice, she shivered in my arms. "Are you cold?" I asked. "I think, whats 'cold'?" she said. her voice was soft and little, like it was fragile. I laughed and looked at her, "I think you are cold, what your feeling right now is cold." I said looking in her eyes. "oh, well then, yes I am cold.." she said giggle at her joke. "I can fix that!" I said, slowly nudging her out of my arms and putting her hands in mine. I pulled lightly on her and helped her stand up. She wobbled a bit and ell into me few times on the way to the bed.
Once we finally got there I pulled the covers aside and helped her lay down. I pulled the covers over her and a wide smile grew across her face as she snuggled into the covers. "better?" I asked and she nodded her head yes. "I'm...." she started but stopped, trying to find the right
words. "Warm? it's the opposite of cold." I said, guessing. "yeah, i'm warm." she said giggling again. "what do you want me to call you?" I asked, wondering her name. "hmmmm.... Daisy!" she yelled excitedly. Daisy, I like that name.
