Tears Of Unmet Love

Headache, heartache, you are the cause.
Bad decisions, mistake, please applaud.
A letter I'll never send, silent goodbye.
Stuck on you still, cant hide.

I remember how you used to be, how affectionate,
You used to call me beautiful, I was fortunate.
So what if you came back to me
Would I welcome you back with open arms?

I am happy you love her I won't deny.
I am not okay, but thats okay too.
This is the way I was made, just not for you.

I remember how you used to be,
Those conversations I keep still remind me.
I keep falling for you a thousand times over,
You were never just somebody, I hoped you'd be my forever.

Breathe in, breathe out, it keeps me calm.
I write this letter and I drown
In memories of how I'd smile at the thought of you,
I imagined we'd fall in love one day, too good to be true.

I remember how you made me feel,
Beloved I'd lie and say you dont affect me.
But once in a while you find yourself in my mind,
An affliction in my heart, parasite left behind.

Running down my cheeks are the tears of our unmet love.
All I need is to keep my head held high,
Close my eyes and force a smile,
To save me the pain of our unspoken goodbye.
