Hi. My name is Leila and I'm 16 years old. I go to school like any other girl. I'm just a normal girl.

All my friends have crushes but I don't.

"Let's go meet some guys!!" Anna asked me.

Anna is my best friend. She's pretty and wears a lot of makeup, unlike me.

"Class is almost starting. And why would you want to go meet some guys? Don't you have a boyfriend already?"

"I want you to meet guys, common Leila! You'll find a boyfriend so easily with that pretty face!"

I'm not pretty. I don't get why she keeps saying that.

"I don't need a boyfriend." I said while I stood up and grabbed my bag.

I'm what you can call a "nerd". I have good grades and I never go to classes late. And I don't skip classes as well.

I've been confessed to by some guys, but I always reject them. Because I never liked anyone I decided I would only date someone I really love.

I would like to know what love feels like, but right now I must worry about my grades and Anna, nothing more.

I guess the reason why I never fell in love was because I've never met my type of guy.

Class had finished, so I decided to go to the cafeteria to buy something. After I bought my juice and drunk it I went to the library because it's my favorite place. It's always empty.

When I arrived at the library there was one person there. A guy. I never saw him before. He was reading and was so into it he didn't realize I was standing there staring at him.

What the hell am I doing?

I wrote my name on the list of persons who go to the library. There was only his name and mine.

James? It must be him. Why am I interested in knowing his name??

When I was about to sit down my chair seemed stuck. I pushed it hard and then some awful sound came from it "SQUEEEEK".

James raised his head. He seemed upset.

"I'm sorry!" That was all I could say.

"Tsk. So noisy."

HAH? Was that him talking?

I stood up to get a book.

Where's my favorite book?

I looked for it. Everywhere. Maybe not everywhere. There was only one place left. The book James was reading.

There's no way he's reading that book. It's a romance!

I peeped behind the book shelves. I looked at the only person rather than me who was in that room. The book he was reading was down so I wasn't able to see the cover.

One of his arms was holding his head. It seemed heavy. Some black strains of hair were covering his red glasses. His eyes were as blue as the sky of that day.

So pretty... I DIDN'T SAY THAT!!

I got back some steps so that he couldn't see me. But as I moved back I touched the shelf.

"BUM!" three books fell on my head.

"Auch!" I immediately covered my mouth.

He's going to be so mad at me.

I heard some steps. Then they stopped. I looked at my right side and there he was. Standing right next to me. His face was expressionless.

So tall!!

"Could you please stop interrupting my reading?"

He leaned forward and putted his arm on the book shelve as he looked straight into my eyes.

"I was only wondering if you had the romance book I was looking for." I said.

His eyes opened. He looked surprised.

"I don't have your book, I don't read girl's books! They're awfully boring and stupid."

He was profoundly lying.

"So you do have my book, my favorite book."

"It's my favorite book! Not yours. And I'm going to keep it for a long time."

"Oh, I think everyone in school would like to know about your little secret! How about that?"

"Go ahead. Not like I care."

"Are you sure? I must tell you I can speak really loudly if I want to. So how about JAMES FIELS READS RO-..."

His big and warm hand covered my lips. He was looking at me without taking his eyes of mine.

"I... ca...n't... breath..."

He quickly took his hand off my mouth.

"I'm sorry." He said "You can't tell anyone or else they..."

I interrupted him.

"It was never my intention to tell anyone. I'm so happy I'm able to meet someone who has the same tastes I have!" I smiled.

"Can I at least know the name of the person who knows my secret?"

"It's Leila. Nice to meet you!"

"Nice name. I've read a romance which the main character had your name, it was called-..."

"Flowery spot!" We said in sync.

We both laughed.

"I love that book!" I said.

"Me too! Is one of my favorites."

I looked at my watch.

"I'm going to have maths now!"

"Will I see you tomorrow then?"

"Sure! I come here every day."

"See you tomorrow then."

I smiled at my new friend. I'm not sure if we're friends or not, but maybe someday we will.
