The 3 A's

AlN: This isn't a big thing but, my school have this motto thing, Aspire Aim Achieve, and yeah, i was asked to talk about it in our assembley. So there is this kid who asked me to write it and post it here :P He even gave me 20 riyals for it. So yeah, here we go :3

      Life is football game. You are one of the players. You have the ball, and you are setting your way through your goal. And then… you are the best player on the team! See? It’s easy! Just set your way, focus, aim properly and then achieve.

      When we were four years old they asked us what we wanted to be, we answered things like: Singers, cowboys and astronauts.

       When we were twelve, they asked again, we answered things like: Doctors, teachers and engineers.

      Now, they ask us again, our answers are: Who the hell knows?!

      This is the time to do mistakes, once, twice, trice and even hundreds of times if you want. Learn from them as well as you are going to learn from your past, use your present and plan your future.

      This is the time for the real challenge, the real fun.

      Few years later and most of us will be off to universities all over the world. We won’t be really in touch with our old friends anymore. We will make new ones, and maybe move to USA or UK to study away from our hometowns. Our dreams will change as well as our live will.

      After that we work, make money and make new friends. We will have new experiences and a new routine.

      Then, we will grow old. I can see us sixty years from now, white hair, no teeth and weak legs. But imagine this: In sixty years, we will look back and remember us studying, working hard, making new friends, and new experiences and having fun. Later on we become old ladies, surrounded by our grandchildren, drinking tea, gossiping and maybe playing a few games if we still can.

      And then comes the last part… we die. Like everyone else will. People who loved us and cared about us will shed some tears. People, who didn’t like us, probably will be happy we are dead. But that doesn’t matter what matters is our goal! This is kept alive, even when we are dead!

      For example, if you were a doctor, let’s say you helped a lady who was going to die and because of you she is alive and breathing. If you were an engineer, you built houses for the homeless... If you were a singer, your songs kept someone happy… Even if you were an actress, your films made someone laugh…

      Even though you are dead, your goal still marks your existence.

      Well, this actually reminds me of our school’s motto: Aspire… Aim… Achieve. There is no shortcut to achievement, aspire it, aim it and believe me, it’s worth it. Your body achieves what your mind believes. Plus that, achievement exists, it will find you if you are working to get it.
