An unexpected gift

A/n- into this story Ari is 30 years old

It was a wonderful day and Arianna was in her favorite AU called Underfell. She loved visiting the adorable sensitive sans she called Cherry. They both lived in a home behind a waterfall. They both loved eachother with all of there hearts. But the one difference in their relationship is that they don't wanna have kids they just wanna be together until the end. That is until one night Ari had woken up from a nightmare.

"Imma going outside for a bit" she stated to the sleeping cherry.

"K love" he mumbled.

Ari stood up and put her hoodie on. She didn't care that she wasn't wearing a shirt but she went outside anyways. She walked down the path to a small clear patch in a garden of beautiful red echo flowers. She sat down and was about to lay down when she heard muffled crying. Ari sat up and looked around.

"H-hello is anyone there?" She asked.

The crying still continued. She walked around through the flowers following the sound until she stopped in front of a basket. The crying had stopped when she reached it. She decided to pick it up. She carefully carried it back home. She went inside and sat the basket on the table in the kitchen. When she opened the basket she gasped as she saw a small baby skeleton laying on a damp cold blanket.

"Oh my goodness where did you come from!!!!!" Ari stated as she picked up the shivering baby. 

Since long ago she was once a big sister to 4 younger siblings her protective instincts kicked in and she gently placed the baby on the table. They whimpered as tears welled up in their eye sockets.

"I know baby I'm just trying to keep you warm" she said in a soothing tone as she removed her fluffy hoodie.

She wrapped the tiny child in her hoodie and held them in her arms rocking them from side to side.

"Oh shhhhhhhhhhh it's ok I'm right here your safe baby shhhhhhhh" Ari cooed.

She left the kitchen and entered the room she and cherry shared. She bent down and using one hand to hold the sleeping baby and using the other to shake cherry.

"Cherry you bonehead wake up please I wanna show you something!" Ari whispered shaking him.

"Show me later" he grumbled. 

The baby in Ari's arms started to quietly whimper. Cherry turned Around and noticed Ari looking at him with fear hidden in her eyes.

"What the how did they get here?" Cherry asked.

"I-I found them outside in a patch of echo flowers..... they were cold and they were crying I just didn't have the heart to leave them there." Ari sniffles looking down at the little bundle in her arms.

"Oh ......um" cherry said as he got up and looked down at the baby.

"So what do you wanna do with it" he asks

"My heart says to keep them and my mind says to give them to someone else..............I kinda like em" Ari replied.

They both weren't sure what to do until the small baby bones started to cry. Ari's' loving instincts kicked in again as she pulled the baby close to her.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhh" she said as she rocked them back and fourth again.

"Can we please keep them I really......think they deserve to live with us and love us like I love you" Ari said nuzzling cherry's cheek.

"Sure we can keep them but first we need to find out if they are a girl or boy" cherry said as a red blush dusted his cheekbones.

They both sat down on the bed.

"So what names should we choose if it's a girl or boy?" Ari asked.

"Well I think um..........how bout Tyler and Max for boy names?" Cherry replied letting the tiny baby to grip his finger.

"Yeah I like that but what about girls names......hm can't think of anything at the moment.....how bout you?" Ari asked.

"Dunno either" cherry shrugged.

Ari giggled and lean against cherry. He chuckled and kissed her forehead. 

"I love you" Ari stated.

"I love you too" cherry replied holding Ari's free hand. 

The two went back to bed with the baby sleeping soundly in between them.
