Bucky took a deep breath. His masks were on, his hand was covered, and his suit was straight. Bucky wasn't actually nervous or an edge or anything he was strangely calm he was relaxed a strange familiar loving feeling surround him. In a sick place like this, he felt at home. It made him felt shame. Bucky went to the bar and began to throw drinks back.
"Woah, Woah, Barnes, we're on a mission or have you forgotten," Tony said through his earpiece. Bucky didn't listen.
"rough day I see" a man with a raven's mask stepped forward Bucky pulled his mask back down to cover his mouth again "you have no idea," he said. He felt a hand on him should and turned to see Levi's plain white mask.
Levi was Bucky's friend or accomplish that helped him into this place. They had known each for a good 10 years in Hydra and ended up leaving together taking two different paths but staying in connect. Levi was a bad kind of good Bucky always said.
"His wife thinks he's cheating" Levi chuckled helping Bucky lie.
"Well... did you?" the stranger asked. Levi pulled out his phone and showed the man a picture of a girl Bucky didn't see who "why would he cheat on this"
"Luck, lucky man," the stranger said, "what's her name?"
The answer left his mouth before he could even think. The team didn't know where he got the name but Steve sure did. "(y/n) ... Beautiful isn't she? love of my life why would I cheat she satisfies me enough.... that and we swing" Bucky said smiling his words felt honest it was all somehow the truth. Steve listened on the other end and smiled he knew what he was talking about.
"if you swing then how'd you cheat?"
"she thinks I slept with the maid without her" all three men laughed.
"don't they seem quite comfortable," Clint says in his earpiece. He, Bucky, and Sam manage to sneak in with Levi then went their separate ways. Clint had watched Bucky have fun at the bar for the last 15 minutes he watched Levi excuse himself.
"has he forgotten this is a mission," Natasha said
"he probably has," Levi said " I mean what do you think would happen. It's like he's got Stockholm syndrome. He' s way too familiar with the place he's got a lot of memories in this place or did you not know?"
"That ass didn't say anything," Sam said,
"well then we'll need to work quickly and get him out of here."
"You know I can hear you right," Bucky said,
"then move dick stick".
A soft chime was heard and everyone began to move to the arena. The boys found themselves standing with each other as it began.
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome" Standing at the front of the balcony with a throne was a man with a white suit and half a mask that covered his right eye and part of his noses. "Tonight we have a delicious menu staring Mistress Vola's new pet Carlos".
A door on the right opened and out came a scrawny little boy in a tux and a mask that only cover his eyes he looked terrified." we need to save him" Thor said watching through the security cameras. Bucky sighed " He's from Argentina he was a sex trafficker worked girls for 11 to16. Killed about a dozen and a half of them" Thor no longer wanted to help.
"And old but still divine and sweet thing my favorite we have belonging to Madam Vonschitch... BUNNY."
Bunny? I remember everyone called her it.
A door on the left opened and out came a petite girl. She had (h/l) (h/c) hair she wore a tight short Victorian dress, and a black bunny mask." choose your dish" the middle of the floor opened up and a weapons rack rose weapons dried with blood from the last fight hung. People began to scream what choose of weapons the two should pick the boy took a large sword and the crowd went wild. The bunny picked a small knife and the crowd grew quiet.
"Now ... BEGAN"
The boy made the first move swing his sword down on her but she dodged it and continued on so.
"where are you going?" Bucky asked noticing Levi's retreating figure "we've got to save her. Follow the plan"
"I am. I'm following my plan. Trust me it's better than yours. Just wait for the bang" and with a wink Levi was gone.
Bucky thought for a moment closing his eyes and sighing. Of course, Levi had his own plans this was Levi we're talking about. "Change of plans"
"what do you mean change of plans," Sam asked
"where is Short stack" Tony
"you can't make that call" Natasha. All at once everyone was in his ear asking questions and demanding answers he didn't have. It was too much but they couldn't see that due to his mask. As if they weren't enough the crowd burst into cheers.
Looking Down Bucky saw that Bunny had won. Her dress was still perfectly white still but her hands and her surrounding areas were painted in blood. She looked directly at Bucky and let her head tilt innocently to the side over the crowd and his team he hear her clear, clear as day as if she was right here and it was only the two of them
"winter?"
