Court
"Do you swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you, God?"
"I do"
"You may be seated"
"Your Honor and ladies and gentlemen of the jury: the defendant has been charged with the crime of murder in the first degree. The evidence will show that the defendant was found at the scene of the crime. The evidence I present will prove to you that the defendant is guilty as charged."
"Your Honor, I think we're all forgetting that under the law, my client is innocent until proven guilty. There is no concrete evidence against my client. My client is not guilty."
"The prosecution may call its first witness."
"The People call Harley Wilson."
"Please stand. Raise your right hand. Do you promise that the testimony you shall give in the case before this court shall be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you, God?"
"I do."
"Please state your first and last name."
"Harley Wilson."
"You may be seated."
"Ms. Wilson, how old are you?"
"Seventeen."
"Seventeen, you're still so young, are you still in high school?"
"Yes. I just started my senior year."
"Ms. Wilson, where were you the night of April 14th, 2017?"
"I was at the game and then I went to Chase Greens house."
"Was it a party?"
"Yes."
"Were drugs and alcohol present?"
"Yes."
"Were there any adults over the age of 21 there?"
"No."
"What was your relationship with Wesley Owens?"
"He was my boyfriend."
"And Olivia Parker?"
"My best friend."
"So you're close to both sides?"
"Yes."
"Are you still in a romantic relationship with Mr. Owens?"
"Ms. Wilson?"
"No. I'm not"
"What happened that night? Leading up to the crime?"
"I'm sorry?"
"Were Mr. Owens and Ms. Parker fighting?"
"No. I had been with both of them up until an hour before we found- before we found them."
"And they weren't fighting?"
"No."
"And you found Mr. Owens standing above Ms. Parker?"
"Yes."
"Was anyone else with you?"
"Yes. Patrick, Logan, and Sloane."
"Do you believe Mr. Owens killed Ms. Parker?"
"Objection, your Honor speculation."
"No further questions your honor."
"Thank you, Ms. Wilson, you may go back to your seat."
